He says he has always wanted to play John Stewart version of GL, and if he really pushed for that character I'd say DC would give him a chance. Just because the other GL film happened, it shouldn't prevent him from playing his top choice. Especially since it was rather forgettable.

I wouldn't be surprised if they created their own origin for Shazam, allowing the Rock to play both Billy and Shazam. Getting a star like him, you want him in the film more than 50% of the time, he could even be in it less than 50% depending how the story is written.

I think Black Adam is still a possibility, but I LOVE the idea of Rock as Shazam and Momoa as Black Adam.

i like you BvS but this is laughable no chance imo
the guy is playing Shazam. I think he'll be a producer, so he can choose what he wants to say about the project without the studios getting too pissed. I think he's being honest. The dude won't be playing GL sadly

you know this got me thinking.... whoever head honcho/s it was that voted The Rock down for John Stewart must be kicking themselves when GL underperformed. are they still employed at WB?

uhh.... you mean like scrawny Steve and Captain America? i dont know, they would be missing the much valued family friendly $$$$. i still think they're gonna find a wunderkid to play Billy. theyre just waiting for the announcements to make it all official before they start fielding for young kid actors.
