They´re all quite weak. Probably Man of Steel.

Iron Man. In fact I think IM is better than Batman Begins.

Of the options available,it's Cap with IM a close 2nd.I don't know that TIH & Thor are Origin movies in the purest sense.MOS & TASM,don't make me laugh.

Iron Man, no question. One of the genre's best.

Man of Steel
Captain America
Iron Man
Amazing Spider-Man
Thor
Incredible Hulk

I think the two best origins in CBM history are Iron Man and Spider-Man. For me, Batman Begins doesn't come into it, I checked out of the movie for the climax of BB as I thought it was so dull.

damn.. i agree with OP. Batman Begins is the best origin movie. Followed by the original Superman film. But that one has problems in the climax..going back on time ...no

Okay, I'm a DC fan primarily, so saying this is a big deal, but Iron Man is definitely the best superhero origin film since Batman Begins.

As for which is better, Begins or Iron Man, I'll call it a tie (as while Iron Man is the first appearance of the character on the big screen, Nolan had to ressurect Batman after Schumacher killed him - so maybe Iron Man is a slightly better film, but I think Begins had more ground to cover by totally reinventing a character that virtually everyone had gone off).

I loved, loved, loved MOS too but it hit a few off notes, whereas Iron Man was pure magic. I've never really liked the character that much (and hated the sequels, but mostly because they were such a disappointment after the first movie).

John Favreau should have hung up his director's spurs then and there, and be remembered as the guy who brought Iron Man to the screen and made him the coolest superhero around. Sadly, the subsequent films never built on
what was started in IM (even Avengers did **** all to develop the character, so after 4 films he's still just RDJ doing the same routine, the development in IM 3 was so haphazard it was off-putting -whereas the hostage situation in the first film was brilliant.

So despite my allegiance to DC, got to say that Iron Man is one of the great superhero origin films of all time. (Superman the movie was probably the best, but mostly because until then, nobody knew that superheroes could make it on the big screen).

Iron Man is not just the best origin since BB, it's a better origin film than BB, imo. The cringe-worthy Goyer dialogue throughout BB really brings it down several notches for me. Nolan did great work on that film - the aesthetic qualities were all top notch and he really sold that world, but that script just seems to get worse with every re-watch for me now (and that includes the pacing), while IM remains endlessly rewatchable for me, with actual chemistry among the cast, tightly-crafted and perfectly paced.

And i agree with most here that IM is a better film than BB.

Yeah...

Rachel: I heard you were back. What are you doing?

Bruce: Uh, just swimming. Wow, it is good to see you.

Rachel: You were gone a long time.

Bruce: I know, how are things?

Rachel: The same. Job's getting worse.

Bruce: Can't change the world on your own.

Rachel: What choice do I have when you're too busy swimming?

Bruce: Rachel, all- all this, it- it's not me, inside, I am, I am more.

Rachel: Bruce, deep down you may still be that great kid you used to be, but it's not who you are underneath, it's what you *do* that defines you.
