Take your pick between Zimmer, Elfman, and Horner.
Horner's all the way for me.
I loved the opening moments of Elfman's (still gives me chills) but too much of it reminded me of a lesser version of his work on Batman. Horner's was magical to me and felt tailor-made for the character of Spidey.
Zimmer's was blah.
Horners sucked. ASM1 soundtrack has a whole was not that good not just the theme but the whole soundtrack by far the worst soundtrack in a sm movie yet. Elfman's theme was great and very rememberbol. Zimmers theme was ok but not even close to Elfmam's but Zimmer score has a whole is one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard in a movie and way way better the the tearable Horners.
Hi there, spiderman2.
Good thing this poll was about the theme, not the whole soundtrack.
Seeya.
My thoughts exactly.Evening, flickchick85.
Actually, I was the other one choosing Horner. I felt he captured all the enjoyment, excitement of becoming Spider-man and acquiring all those amazing super-powers.
I cannot even remember Zimmer's, I've tried to delete my memory of seeing ASM 2, car crash carnage, Peter-Gwen & Dane Dehaan aside.
Love Elfman's work in general and his Spiderman theme was a great reflection of the Raimi films, but Horner's opening bars and 'entry' as we join young Peter in his father's study in ASM are beautiful.
How's it going, Mandon Knight.
For me it's also hard to remember whatever Zimmer's Spider-man theme was. While good, I feel Elfman gets too generic when it's about superheroes - and damn, has he done scores for almost every superhero out there - after all these years.
I remember when he worked with Ang Lee for Hulk though. Because Elfman said Lee wouldn't let him do his usual "superhero thing" and pushed him hard so he came with a new sound.
Cheers.
