What is your favourite ship in geek culture?

The Slave1 kinda looks like the sander I use at work.

Its an ugly ship though I admit it can look pretty cool in LEGO form, I especially like the one in the new Cloud City set.

My favorite would be the Millennium Falcon in its beaten down form, with the U-Wing from Rogue One and Guardians Milano as honorable mentions.

I'm partial to the Interceptor from Green Lantern: TAS. It played a pivotal role in the series.

Iron Man armors

They might be uncomfortable one man ships in the end of the day and in prolonged usage, but they are pretty practical, mostly when the one that can handle deep underwater pressure can be taken for outdoor missions.

I loved the Eagle Transporter in SPACE: 1999 as a kid. Of course I had the model kit.

Another classic is the Yellow Submarine. Tormented my poor parents "singing" that tune over and over with made up English, after the animated movie was shown on the telly.

Some others honorable mention...

Captain Harlock's Arcadia

Disney Nemo's Nautilus

Although Kevin O'Neill's LXG update and movie version are pretty great reinventions.

Kirby's Eternal's Inca celestial navigator craft.

Also invoking more real world ships that made first "orbit"...
The Nao Victoria first to circumnavigate the globe is pretty awesome.
You can actually visit the recreation of this ship, that harbors in San Agustin Florida, (at least it was there last time I went). These carraks were surprisingly small (to my eyes) for the feats they achieved.

As for Trek ships

I always liked this configuration ...

Also the Galactica Vipers (classic and new) were pretty awesome.

And the Gerry Anderson universe had allot of fun designs.

I did vote, but may not have thrown my comment in...
Refit Enterprise from Star Trek The Motion Picture.
When it had the Paul Olsen paintwork of course. Which I think made the Enterprise look as real as she has ever done, all previous and post versions included!

ST_Enterprise_1.jpg

In these days of almost everything these days being CG, she is a thing of beauty to behold. :yay:

LOL, thought this would be a thread for 'Ships, like relationships

was not disappointed

The Falcon's too obvious, so I'll say the Grandmaster's orgy ship from Thor Ragnarok
little plain on the inside, but cmon, it has fireworks that you can set off while you get... *ahem*... set off

I was going to say the Starship Enterprise, because I thought this was a thread about shipping (ie relationships). But then it turned out to really be about actual ships. So Enterprise it is!

I came here to say Steve/Bucky, then I realized we were talking about different kinds of ships. :csad:

The Enterprise!

Honourable mentions

J-type 327 Nubian royal starship

Nautilus

I've never been too fond of Trek's Constitution Class, neither the TOS version, the TMP version, or the JJ version really took my eye. Then it was revamped and given a modern look for DSC, and quite honestly, I did a whole 360 on the design and love it.
