Vote and share what you would do with the Hero you voted to make it a good show.

Marvel needs some good live action small screen projects.

daredevil
luke and cage
as sad as i must say, wolverine
psylocke could also work.
catwoman and elektra
longshot would be cool
thor in a very similar line to raimi's hercules...
moonknight would be excellent.
silver sable
the inhumans
namor

basically all the human level grounded people or maybe some real heavy hitters sometimes....

In the vain of Heroes, I think X-men can be made. Maybe with Chris Claremont as Producer with Stan Lee. I would want Mike Carey to lead writer of the series.

I can see Sable holding her own series, it would have some potential(needs a good rogue gallery). As for the Inhumans, can see it as a Rome-like TV series. Maybe have the FF4 make cameos.

Out of this list, Spider-man and the X-men can really work as a show cause they have the most doable material for a show. But I've always had this idea for a Bishop series, without the X-men. Bishop appearingin the past with no member and must find his answer to stop and inevitable doom. Has great possiblities

Dardevil and The Punisher...could be killer cable series.

Daredevil.

It's totally a Law & Order show mixed with Alias-type action.

Daredevil.
Punisher.
Heroes for Hire.
Moon Knight.
Kung-fu Master.
Iron Fist.
Silver Sable.
Cloak and Dagger.

Definitely Daredevil on FX. It could be a great crime/lawyer drama and of course the Punisher on HBO.

I could really see a Daredevil series that's inda like Batman begins in that it slowly has him getting the costume, becoming a lawyer, While also showing the rise of Fisk. I can definitely picture a Prision Break look to it(in terms of style and directing)

I personally think all comic characters or the vast majority) would work better in theory on a television series than a film franchise. Simply because comic books are a form of serialized fiction that likes to string you along and depends on strong complex supporting casts that you simply cannot explore fully in 2 hour movies (or a series of them). Something I think some fans still have trouble understanding.

But you cannot sucessfully do most superheroes on television budgets. It is just ridiculous as it is fast and gritty and you cannot have those striking shots, much less the high budget these characters need to be taken seriously (particularly Marvel heroes).

I suppose you could probably do Daredevil on television, but if it wasn't on HBO, I wouldn't bet on it.

Well tecnically X-Men has been/is already on TV with Mutant X(lame!) and Heroes(not so lame)

Moon Knight
Black Widow
Daredevil
Luke Cage
New Warriors
SHIELD
Iron Fist

Most street level heroes could translate well to a tv show IMO.

DACrowe:

Tv shows like Smallville, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy, Stargate, Babylon 5, Doctor Who, M.A.N.T.I.S, Blade and Angel have proven it's possible to get decent to excellent quality super-heroes on live action tv. The technology exists Marvel just needs to hire the proper people and budget. Some would be easier to adapt then others, though. Black Widow would be easier to work in live action then Iron Fist, for instance.

Nuff said.

I think that Marvel should do a show called Marvel Knights. They could incorporate a bunch of second stringers in intermingling story threads.

You could have Luke Cage and Danny Rand as Heros for Hire Starring Michael Jai White (Spawn) or Henry Simmons (Shark, NYPD Blue) as Luke Cage and Justin Hartley (Smallville) as Iron Fist. Their story arcs would collide heavily with...

...Lawyer by day, vigilante by night Daredevil as played by Cole Hauser (K-Ville, Pitch Black) or Kevin McKidd (Journeyman, Rome) Think of a very crime drama/Lawyer angled show...with some kick@ssory in there.

You could have Dr. Strange played by Timothy Dalton (Hot Fuzz) a mystic who deals in the occult. Think very Buffy/x-files type story arcs

You could have Cloak and Dagger fighting crime at the street level. You could have Henry Simmons (Shark and NYPD Blue) play Cloak and get someone like Brittany Murphy(Sin City, 8 mile) or Taryn Manning (Hustle and Flow) to play Dagger.

a good ensemble cast (much like Lost or Heros) dealing with different levels of crime in Hell's Kitchen and NYC with their story arcs crossing paths. Keep it dark and dirty and as realistic as possible. You can have guest stars like The Punisher (Adam Baldwin, Firefly) or Peter Parker (Patrick Fugit, Almost Famous)

The Main villain could be/should be the King Pin. You could get someone like Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction) or Bob Sapp (Longest Yard) to play him.

Always thought that this would be a kick@ss show!!

X-men would be the best possible show. With todays tech, the show would be awesome. Shows like Heroes, shows us ensemble cast with powers can fit a budget, a web-tv turn cable show in Sanctuary shows us the level of CG a show can use since that show is using CG backgrounds like 300 and Sin City. And the level of material, the amount of Genres that can reach people(sci-fi, fantasy, political, drama). I want an X-men show now dammit.....:woot:

I feel those shows are okay in their effects (well Battlestar is damn good so was Firefly, but Blade had awful effects). But you will have to go to second tier as doing Spidey, X-Men, Cap. America, etc. on TV would look bad unless we are willing to go back to the days of a body builder in green paint playing Hulk.

Thor’s hammer, mjolnir!

Each episode somebody worthy enough get to be a God
And of course eventually the powers get to his head and lose it at the end
Just like that colt 45 TV series

They should call it
Mjolnir the God maker
Or mjolnir the maker of god
Whatever ! ...

I've been tinkering with this idea for quite awhile now but I think the best way do a Marvel tv show is to have them with the 2nd tier characters. Imagine Marvel working out a deal with Showtime. (which is part of CBS, which is part of Paramount)

The first series could be Luke Cage. I myself would rather see a show about him rather than a standalone movie which might not even become a franchise. The show should take place in the 70's to add more depth. But if I remember correctly, Columbia still owns the rights to it. Oh well, but lets pretend Marvel got back the rights.

Then if Cage is a hit then they can bring on an Iron Fist series which potentially leads to crossovers.

Also it be nice if they brought back the Blades series and continue from where they left off but this time with better writing.

Therefore, leading the way for Moon Knight, Cloak & Dagger, Shang Chi, Werewolf By Night, Brother Voodoo and so on.

Because lets face it, a series with well known characters like Spider-Man or X-men, etc will be costly and would not work. Also, the networks will screw with it. But not Showtime.

I'ld like to see a "Doctor Strange" live action film actually.

TV shows has to live by lower budget standards so heroes with flashy powersets and settings are not fit for TV shows. This predicament eliminates Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, general X-Men (do you wanna see another Mutant X?), Namor, and Fantastic Four. I also have minor reservation on Doctor Strange, Moon Knight and Captain America, and Iron Fist because by having them in TV format will entail less quality in what suppose to be a more grandiose setting.

So which characters are more acceptable in a TV show format?
a) Wolverine. It's like the 70's Hulk TV series but more believable because you don't rely on CGI to make it work.
b) Luke Cage. Urban crime series.
c) Black Widow
d) The Punisher
e) Daredevil
f) Deadpool
g) Other mostly street level heroes.

I don't know I always thought Iron Man might make a good one. Its a bit more realistic. I would have said the Hulk but they already did that in the past, guess they could do a remake. But it would tick off those Hulk fans if not done right.

I can certainly see a Punisher series working. Imagine short, 13 episode seasons in which the Punisher targets one specific criminal organization, where he systematically and methodically executes and terrorizes its members. Of course, there'd naturally be a group of FBI agents after him, from whom we the viewers observe from (meaning, we don't really see much of the Punisher himself but more of his handiwork).

X-Men is way too big for a TV budget, but a show based on the current X-Factor series, that I could definitely see.
