What movie were you really looking forward to, only to have it fall way below your expectations?

Mine: Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds.

Lately, Spider-Man 3. Fanboyism aside, the movie failed in so many areas. :down

Wait, if I remember correctly, leading up to the release of WOTW, weren't you one of its biggest haters?

nope, he was one of the biggest supporters.

for me, it has to be T3.. the trailers looked better than the whole god damn film :(

Spider-Man 3 (completely disappointed)
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (somewhat disappointed)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
Ocean's 11 & 12.

On the contrary, I was a huge supporter. I was always defending it in the Batman Begins and Fantastic Four boards.

Then it turned out to be a cheap Spielberg popcorn movie.

^Aww.
I liked WotW. It had one of the best action scenes of all-time in it. :csad:

I always thought T3 was going to suck beforehand. No Cameron, no Linda Hamilton, old Arnie = no thanks.

Napoleon Dynamite, so many people said how great and funny it was, finally got around to seeing it and I don't think I even chuckled once during the movie. It was god-awful from begining to end

i was like you..but then i saw the trailers and they were really good... i got all hyped up weeks before i went to see it and then i ... :(

i have to agree, the first and second tripod attacks were just amazing to watch..and still is IMO.

Miami Vice.

And Spider-Man 3.

Recently probably Superman Returns. Even though I rated it high at the time, upon further reflection it was quite a bummer to behold.

The Star Wars prequels overall were a disappointment, not that I didn't enjoy the movies completely, it was just that Star Wars was back, but it wasn't up to the quality of the previous films.

King Kong was a pretty large disappointment too.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

I was expecting Nightmare Before Christmas level baddassery. It never came. :(

Van Helsing. So much potential, Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf, Jackman, Beckinsale. What a let down, just a corny movie with very weak CGI
