What possible changes from the comic would ruin the film for you?

i don't think that was ever reported on here. his wife is in the movie, but she's not a crook like him. he robs places for the sake of his sick child or something like that.

Yeah that was story i had hoped for was the sick child...i have heard both of them...im sure it was just some random new guy posting garbage....cant remember

This is the movies, not the comics. I'm willing to give any change a chance before I judge it. Why are so many intent on believing that the way it's always been done is the way it always should be?

1)Venom being same size as Spidey is a definant NO for me!
2)GG2 dressing as a snowboarder, when his father's kick@ss costume is right there in front of him! (but I have no prob. with Harry dieing)

I have faith in Raimi's vision, it hasn't really faltered so far with changes made already: organics(please nobody start screeming), Goblin Power Ranger, and probably more stuff that i can't think of. these changes were pretty shocking at the time but I like most others have ended up excepting them - and with organic webbing for instance, am actually quite pleased with them. The only thing that would get my webs in a twist is if the symbiot was kinda like a regular costume - have you seen the pics of it under his clothes, surley you have? - and he could take it off, that would kind of defeat the point don't you think?
He's got rid of the suit before by a bell tower and reed richards I think, but if it's just a regular pull on/pull off one, the most action would be MJ pulling his boots off for him . . . and at the most she'd need a shoe-horn.

well there's really nothin in the comic that they could change to make the movie unwatchable for me, you know why? they are two seperate mediums and i realize that it is physicaly impossible to please fanboys and i think raimi's doing a good job

even the 616 universe has had continuity errors which it in itself would have to go back and re-explain

well said. If these films followed the source down to the letter, we all wouldn't be here virtually pissin ourselves with anticipation because we would be able to read what's going to happen in our respective comic collections.

dos acoustic is right they did report here a while ago that sandman and his wife would be like bonnie and clide robbing together...and the first two movies are so far off from the comics i dont even care anymore

The only thing that matters is characterisation and the story. As long as those elements of the film reflect how the story is told in the comics, then everything is fine.

Which explains why I think Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 were ruined.
