Do you guys think the darker tone of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice helped elect Donald Trump? When I watched the movie back in March, I thought the theme about people deserving better than the truth was very true to life, in a current political world like ours. Did I notice more than an underhanded slight at Obama's war in the film? In today's society, what role does entertainment media play in electing a president, I actually wonder. I think BvS might have had some influence on forming people's opinions this time, I know it did mine.

Oh god I hope not. We're talking alien vs a guy dressed as a bat. We're in deep crap if we're influenced how we vote by movies.

Thank you, Kane. :woot:

not disappointed at all

I think the message that people who aren't from here can be incredibly dangerous is very meaningful to a lot of people. And the dangers of rich people in ginger wigs.

when you think about obama is luthor and doomsday is hillary

superman represents america that heroically went to the polls and will rise again as a great nation even after the liberals tried to kill it

batman is of course trump a sexy billionaire who saves everyone, and wonder woman is melania

it all makes sense and snyder is a genius thanks kane for sharing this with us all

now what about suicide squad

That...liberals and conservatives are frickin' crazy, the media sways voters, and their common "special interest" enemy manipulated everything, yet unintentionally brought those crazy mother****ers together to vote in who they thought would take care of that villainous puppet master.

Perfect comparison. :funny:

Also going with this theme, Superman represents the country in the sense he's hounded relentlessly and mocked…the biggest pile on in recent memory...yet still wins. He's on the brink - and even near death, but he nonetheless returns greater than ever.

I don't think so. This movie came out months before the election. If anything, it is Doctor Strange and Boo! A Madea Halloween that had role in this recent election.

This is the most successful troll thread that hasn't been locked by a mod. Hilarious thread, by the way...

I dont think an alien versus a guy dressed as a bat has anything to do with US politics. But the thread is funny as hell.

Obama is Superman, and Batman is Trump = LMAO !!!!!

Nice job.
