I don't think it was ever confirmed, granted if he does get a role in Sin City 2 or not, but I definitely see him for the role of Wallace.

The entire cast will have moved on and signed up to do other projects the amount of time they are taking to get started on this sequel. Depp (who I'd very much like to see in the Sin City world) already has a growing list of other films scheduled.
