I am talking about so called stars who have a career solely based on the fact that Teen girls or boys thought they were hot as opposed to their acting skills. Also feel free to state stars who fall into this category but do have talent e.g. Brad Pitt.

Here is my list

Men

Brad Pitt.

Robert Pattison.

Wolf guy from Twilight (don’t know his name and cant be arsed to look it up)

Zac Effron.

Tom Welling (Lets face it dude was picked because of how he looks and teen girl's and housewives only tune into smallville to see him although he does have his moments acting wise)

Women

Megan Fox

Megan Fox (This is not a typo I listed her twice because she is the epitomy of what I am talking about)

Pamela Anderson.

Halle Berry (Very overrated don’t see what the big deal is, of course she has her moments in some film)

Jessica Biel (Call me ignorant but I haven’t seen a film she is in where I have thought dammmmmmmm this girl can act)

WOMEN:
Pamela Anderson
Carmen Electra
Megan Fox
Hillary Duff
Miley Cyrus
Angelina Jolie

MEN:
the entire Twilight cast
Zak Efron
any effeminate dude on Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, 90210 and other CW shows
Justin Bieber (how old is this kid, 12?)

Orlando Bloom
Hayden Christenson
Keanu Reeves
Ben Barnes

I think the OP wants names of actors and actresses who are more popular with the opposite sex than their own gender. Examples: Zac Efron's fanbase is 99% women. Megan Fox's fanbase is 99% men. This is my list:

Actors: Zac Effron, any of the guys on Gossip Girl, any of the guys on Twilight, Channing Tatum, Orlando Bloom

Actresses: Megan Fox, Jessica Biel, Scarlett Johansson

Actors like Harrison Ford do not belong on the list because they appeal equally to both men and women. In order to really make it in Hollywood, you need to appeal to both. Zac Effron's movies may do well with teenage girls, but if he can't bring in male audiences, then he's never going to cross over to major Hollywood stardom and will lose fans as soon as those teenage girls grow up. See Orlando Bloom's career for proof.

Tim Burton seems to have a strong following with the Hot Topic crowd. Does that count?

Orlando Bloom is a good example that he's only famous for being in ensemble commercial movies, I don't think he can carry a movie just by himself.

Johnny Depp while he may be a former Teen Beat cover boy at least he picks roles that make him as unnatractive as possible.

Ironically most of the stars that fanboys dig nowadays did get their start due to teen girls or guys fawning over them.

Megan Fox. Literally the only reason anyone knows her name is because she's hot.

Did you really just compare Brad Pitt to Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson?

um...

Robert Pattinson

Taylor Lautner

Zac Efron

Orlando Bloom

Matthew Fox

Josh Holloway

Patrick Dempsey

Megan Fox

Pamela Anderson

Jessica Alba

Halle Berry

Taylor Lautner
Megan Fox
Ashley Greene (who's supposed to be pretty good in Skateland, but no one's seen that yet)

Paris Hilton.
Any former American Idol contestants.
Any former boy band members.

Honestly, I'm too old to know many of these new celebs. I would put most of Young Hollywood into this thread.

Mickey Rourke back in Diner was a pretty boy. Now..not anymore :(

I find it pretty ridiculous that some people bash Keanu Reeves and say he shouldn't have a career. Perhaps those saying those statements should watch The Gift, Sweet November, The Watcher, Hardball, The Devil's Advocate, and Lake House.

The man can act and in my opinion The Gift was his best performance.

As far as his looks are concerned? Keanu didn't really receive that kind of status until the Matrix was released. I don't recall women during the Bill and Ted years going crazy over him.
