What turns a guy off?

You could just show him this thread.

The truth; and be brutally honest tell him; I'm WAY too good looking for you and I'd never date someone as ugly as you are, in fact your lucky I even let you be seen with me as a friend. any feelings he ever had for you will be gone

Thats a pretty good one actually. Ego is a big turn off.

^ that's pretty good, but i'm assuming she wants to keep the friendship since she's going to such lengths to try and turn him off, so saying that might end said friendship.

Yeah it is. And I've been in this guys position basically my whole life.

Yeah thats the problem tho, if he asks her out when she rejects him, he wont want to be around her. If he never musters up the courage than I'd suggest she just ignore it, until he brings it up

i was in a similar situation a while back. my best friend told me one of our coworkers liked me, but I only liked him as a friend. I was dreading him making a move cuz I hate to hurt people's feelings, but I really wasn't into him, and luckily, he never asked and I he moved on.

i hope that happens or it may be like this

One of my best friends in college likes me but i don't reciprocate. i want to turn him off before he vocalises this so things dont get more uncomfortable than they already are. i have until the 3rd of january before i see him again. What do i do :csad:

Please, for the love of God, listen to me.

MEN DO NOT LIKE MIND GAMES! Do not mess with this guy's mind. Just be honest! Tell him you're not interested! It's that easy!

Mind games will just unnecasserily jerk him around, and he'll still probably like you.

NO MIND GAMES!!

I watched that episode. And you know what?? That is the BEST way that could have went. It's hard to believe, but it is. Lying to him isn't going to do any good. Just tell him you don't see him that way. He will accept it and get over it.

Lying, or trying to turn him off will just mess with his head. Don't ****ing do it. It's not nice. Be honest.

In the long run, lying hurts his feelings and messes with him even more than just flat out saying you're not interested.

I've watched Prophecy Girl about ten times and read the script about as many, and my favourite part of that scene is that Xander is the one who pushes her away from "I don't wanna ruin our friendship" mode into just admitting that she doesn't "feel a thing" for him.

It's unnecassary, and really immature on the girl's part.

"Ooooooh, I don't want an awkward situation! So I'll just pretend I have issues!" :whatever:

I feel quite strongly about this. My first girlfriend, rather than just dump me, fed me lie after lie in an attempt to turn me off.

Guys prefer honesty. We don't wanna hear "I've got a boyfriend" if its not true. We don't wanna hear "theres stuff going on at home", because stuff like that just makes us worry. Just say "I don't see you that way!" so we can ****ing move on with our lives.

Thats because he doesn't want to hear bull****.

Just get drunk, sleep with him, then never talk to him again.
Thats what i do when mates fancy me :) then its not like theyve missed out on anything.

but then im too nice a person for my own good sometime.

i know the right thing to do but it'll feel like crap to do it

Man hands, too toothy smile, too gummy smile, really skinny lips.

No sense of humor and prudish.

True but a lot of women aren't heartless b'tches. I'm sure they do care for them in some way just not romantically and they are probably just trying to break it to them gently.

It's happened to the best of us. I know you hate games but even though she doesn't come out and say it, it's pretty apparent how she feels. Just certain people need to hear it as some sort of closure.
