We're getting a hell of a lot of superhero/DC-Marvel related projects in the next couple years, so what are you most looking forward to?

In spite of my lukewarm feelings towards the first movie, it still has to be:

Batmanvssuperman8191234.png

Sider-Man related movies
X-Men related movies
Guardians of the Galaxy
Iron Fist TV Show
Batman vs Superman

No offense Mr Dent but only being able to choose one option per studio sucks

Didn't feel like listing all that stuff

I also wanted this thread to be more about what studios' overall efforts people are looking forward to rather than individual films.

All of them! Friggen awesome that we are getting Guardians, X-Force and Venom. Hell yeah.

Marvels got my current vote right now cause their Universe is up and running and its worked out solid. But as for the future, the potential for the other studios has me just as stoked. Hopefully all goes well. Excited for them all.

Would like to see DC announce some more flicks. But its still very exciting about Wonder Woman and getting a new Gotham in the next MOS. Waiting for some Constatine, Zatanna and Harley Quinn on the big screen in the future.

Same could be said of doing it by individual films. This just cuts out the fat.

They supposedly have Deathstroke, Suicide Squad, and Team 7 movies in the works although they're smaller budgeted. And of course there's GDT's Dark Universe which will have Constantine and Zatanna.

Nice. Suicide Squad would be cool. Was it ever confirmed if the Justice Dark flick would be in the same universe as MOS?

In an interview from Festival di Roma 2013 published Monday by Italian film site Cinefilos, director Guillermo del Toro said the "Justice League Dark" movie is still alive, and that it will connect to Warner Bros. existing live-action plans for its DC Comics properties -- mentioning both movies and TV, as noticed by io9.

"We are still on it," del Toro said. "Writing. Hopefully it will happen, but there are no developments that are new."

Without mentioning specific projects like this past year's "Man of Steel" and the 2015 sequel featuring both Batman and Superman, del Toro said that the potential "Justice League Dark" movie would need to "fit" within what's being mapped out for both TV and movies -- an interesting comment as there has not been any confirmation from Warner Bros. or DC that CW series "Arrow," or any of the several DC-based shows currently in development, are intended to connect to feature films like "Man of Steel."

"Warner Bros. are making plans for the entire DC Universe, all the superheroes, all the mythologies, and part of that is Justice League Dark," del Toro said. "They're planning on TV, movies, all the media, so we have to fit within that plan."

Del Toro has been attached to a possible "Justice League Dark" film since 2012, and discussed the intended plot this past March at WonderCon in Anaheim.

"[John Constantine] is basically trying to recruit these guys," del Toro said. "On Etrigan, I'm using Jason Blood in the time of Merlin. We find out at the top that they each have a mystery to solve. Swamp Thing is at peace with who he is, but Deadman needs to figure out who shot him. It's all woven in. Growing up, my two favorite characters were Etrigan and Swamp Thing, so I'm in heaven."

If it ever leaves the conceptual stage, del Toro's Justice League Dark would be the property I would be most excited about. However, since it is in suspended animation, like a lot of the man's other projects, I'd say my excitement is as follows, from most to least:

1. Arrow. The show is perfection, and I am excited about the new directions they will be taking it, as well as the Flash spinoff. I have no feeling on the other projects, as I have not read the comics; as for Constantine, I have to read on the direction they are taking before I assign feelings.
2. Cap 2/AOU/GOTG
3. X-Men: DOFP, Apocalypse
4. Spider-Man CU
5. Marvel Defender Shows. This is the one option that I have not been fully sold on. Agents of SHIELD has not lived up to its full potential - the episodes have been hit or miss-and with the scaled resources available to Netflix, I wonder about the production/casting qualities. The writing I have no concern about, but the look and cast is what has me slightly worried.

Netflix shows have good budgets and get pretty established actors. And anyway, the reason they're doing those shows is because they're street level and their powers don't require big budgets. At all. Luke Cage has unbreakable skin, Iron Fist has a glowing fist, Jessica Jones has generic flight and super strength, and Daredevil has heightened senses. None of these things are going to call for millions in effects budget.

I am most looking forward to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 at the moment. I am intrigued by the expansion Sony is planning for the*franchise, but without those movies revolving around Peter Parker, I will need more info to be really interested.

I am very excited for Days of Future Past, pretty cool in my opinion they are planning the next film already. But the uncertainty of Jackman's return to The Wolverine 2 is concerning. X-Force doesn't move me any particular way. I am interested in the next Fantastic Four, but a connected universe with just the X-Men and F4 makes literally no sense, so hopefully that movie is well-made, exciting, and stand alone.

I am already invested in everything Marvel Studios is working on, I personally think Phase 2 has been going very well, and Cap 2 will hopefully be the best of the bunch so far. Guardians is interesting and I have no reason to believe it won't be awesome, despite never ever following those characters (first for a Marvel property for me). The things that I most look forward to is what culminates in Avengers 2 and what sets the stage for Phase 3. You know these things are already being mapped out and if there's any studio we can trust to deliver its Marvel far as I'm concerned. On top of all that, Daredevil and Iron Fist series' that won't be constrained by the rules of normal TV programming is very exciting to me.

I am lukewarm on Batman/Superman, the more characters the announce the more I groan. I wasn't the biggest fan of MoS, though I did enjoy it. I've only seen it once and would watch it again, but I would've much preferred another Superman movie. I don't doubt Ben Affleck's abilities to pull off Batman, and I don't doubt that the movie could be very good, but DC is obviously and desperately fighting for their slice of the pie. I forget that they have TV shows in the works, the Gotham PD show could be awesome.

1. DC Movies. New Batman? Wonder Woman? Potentially more characters?...debuting in one movie? Yes please! So many question marks about what this 2015 movie will actually be and what movies they have on the horizon (JLDark? Sandman?).

2. DC TV Shows Flash's origin was perfect on Arrow. Totally on board with this portrayal of Barry. A TV show starting with a young Bruce Wayne and the Wayne's murder? Constantine done right? Yes please.

3. Spider-Man Cinematic Universe.
The International trailer for TASM2 has me slightly more excited. Looks fun. I like the Peter/Gwen relationship and the mystery of his past. Looking forward to hearing more of Zimmer's score. Don't care too much about the other films yet.

4. Future MCU movies.
Cap looks bland, and I don't know enough about GotG to be excited, but the concept art looks outstanding. Nothing about A2 sounds exciting right now, but I imagine a trailer will change that (as I like the interaction between the core characters). Phase 3 movies don't sound very interesting.

5. X-Men Cinematic Universe.
I'm curious more than anything, given that I thought the DOFP trailer was crap. I just want to see how the universe will change after DOFP. I want to see whether or not we'll get recasts and blue/yellow suits, etc. I want to see Jackman's last outing as Wolvy.

6. Marvel Defender Shows. Daredevil sounds like it could be well done, though I'm not a big Daredevil fan yet. Don't care about the other characters. At a glance, nothing about them piques my interest.

Yeah dude seriously! That would've been the last thing I expected to read today!

That movie is already #2 on my must see list. Still behind Spider-Man since that is out in 6 months, but ahead of literally every other CBM.

(Slight exaggeration...but gawwwd DAYM I'm excited! Congrats to JGL that guy is on a roll!)

The DC Cinematic Universe for me. Marvel already hit its highlight as seeing all the Avengers for the first time will likely be the most exciting part of the universe. DC still has to do this. Beyond that they are making a Sandman movie.

Yeah, great gig for JGL. I never thought Sandman would even get to casting stages for another decade. Very psyched for that flick.

DC…seems like their universe is wide open.

You should probably change it to "DC Movies" and "DC TV shows"

There's nothing indicating that Sandman will be in the DCCU.

It's unknown whether Constantine and Gotham will be a part of the same universe as Arrow/Flash.

I can't change it. I knew Gotham and Constantine wouldn't be a part of the CW shows universes but I didn't think it was a big deal.

Also, I think Sandman may be a part of the DCCU, with Dark Universe being developed as a part of it.

Quite surprised at the poll so far. From various opinions i've read on varius site it seems people hate the DCCU for it's bleak tone

SHH leans pretty heavy DC regardless if they like the movies or not.

I feel like I know what to expect from the MCU when Joss Whedon isn't directing, especially in regards to Phase 2.

And Zack Snyder is currently in charge of DC's efforts (poor, poor DC) so...

X-Men. Days of Future Past looks great and Apocalypse could be interesting. It could all go bust, but at least it has the potential to be great for a while.
