The Amazing Spider-Man What villain or villains would you like to see them kick start the reboot with?

I'd like for the first movie to start out with peter already spiderman, he's been spidey for a good 6 months to a year already, and have the movie start out with him fighting scorpion and utterly embarassing him. But the main villains should be kraven and lizard for the first movie. Then use the green goblin for the second.

Yet again I just think Lizard is too soon. You have to have build up with Connor's as a character, he is one of the few "tragic" villains in the Spidey mythos. Someone earlier said TDK did it fine, yea they can, but remember Two-Face was hardly in it, and just near the end.

Now it could work like that, but I'm sure many want to see some awesome fights with Lizard as well. And not have all his action crammed at the end ala Spidey 3 with Venom. I think that Lizard will be amazing, just not right now.

Connors could serve as Peter's father figure in a way, something while (if they don't do an origin) Uncle Ben has been gone and Peter is trying to reconcile with it all. He has flashbacks of his life with Uncle Ben and how much he meant to him. Where Connors is his mentor and father figure.

Connors tragic turn into the Lizard has the potential to show many things and set up things for the course of Peter's life for the franchise. Friends and people close to you can become your enemies and struggling to overcome that, making sarcrifces, something Spider-Man has always been about.

I would make Peter not fully formed yet. He's just become Spider-Man and just because he has powers doesn't mean he will always do the right thing. He can act brash and be over confident (but not too much that shows through his personality) He needs something like that to make him realize what the consequences are at having these powers.

I agree with this. What they did in Spectacular Spider-Man was great, I think it'd totally work for the live action films. t: If they're wanting to have a "darker" Spiderman movie, then they best use Venom.

Vulture again encounters Spider-Man during a heist and nearly beats him to death, and in the battle, Vulture’s power pack malfunctions and explodes.

Five can work if properly executed, but have to complement each other, if you handle them correctly. Look at The Dark Knight. We had Joker, mob bosses, Scarecrow, and Two Face, and the movie didn’t feel like a mess, so it’s possible to do that many characters and have it work, if the characters fit together, all of them balancing each other out and interconnected into the story.

I hate people using TDK as an example of having a lot of villains. Scarecrow was in the movie only for minutes, and we only saw two face in the third act. Spiderman 3 tried throwing in different villains in different acts and we all saw what happened there.

I think the first villain should be someone that mirrors parkers growth and advancements of their powers. Electro would be good to see...something like in the SSM television series. He gets these new powers and doesn't know how to cope with them or what to do with them so he goes on a downward spiral...where as pete would be hurt by Bens death he grows and develops with his powers.

I'm a sucker for cliffhangers, so i'd like if somehow in the last act of the movie you see Dr.Connors what he considers perfecting the Lizard formula and taking it and seeing his arm re-growing and that be either like the deleted scene at the end of the movie or act as the opening to the second movie, and have him be the major threat in the second movie.

I am a big fan of the ultimate spiderman comics, have almost every trade, and am pulling for a close adaptation of the second arc, where spiderman finds out about the mob ties the mugger that killed uncle ben had, and makes it his personal mission to bring this one mob boss down, since kingpin is still tied up at fox I think, they should go for silvermane as the mob boss, maybe throw in the enforcers and electro for good measure. Electro is silvermanes personal bodyguard, and the enforcers have connections with the mugger.

ive heard people mention venom for a possible sequel, and since I think the alien root didnt really fly with what the audience was expecting, I would like to see them toy around with another concept for venom, I used to write a little fan fiction here and there and came up with the idea that venom wasnt an alien but an early prototype of an artificial intellegence that still operated on the basest human emotions, such as anger and rage and things of that nature, in my fan fic, I said that the suit itself was created by accident in a lab experimenting with this base ai, and it is powered by certain emotions, I thought it could attach to spiderman while he is visiting a professor at the lab, maybe mendell stromm and his emotion is his attitude cant think of the word but his smart alleck attitude, and maybe having it copy his abilities into its memories which is why when it bonds to brock he has spidermans abilities. It feeds on brocks anger and rage.

My ideas are associated with Marvel and Sony coming to a deal where the films are set in the same universe as the Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, etc, movies.

1st movie, he gets his powers, Uncle Ben dies, fights small time crooks, Shocker is his first big bad guy besides thugs and robbers. Shocker scenes are similar to the scenes from the 1st Spider-Man movie video game. Electro as the main baddie, gives Peter a villain that he has no emotional connection to and in the end Peter saves the day. Elektro gets put into Rykers.

Norman Osborn, Dr. Conners, and Doc Octavius in side roles in the 1st movie.

In the 2nd movie, Dr. Conners is Peter's science teacher and Peter and him develop a friendship from Peter staying after school to help Conners in his research. Peter helps develop a serum to grow Dr. Conners' arm back. Causing him to turn into the Lizard. Peter has to take down his teacher, and the beast he helped create. Having some fight scenes in the dark sewers where the lizard crawls on the ceilings and attacks would be cool. Conners gets detained and put into Rykers, still in Lizard form. Peter and Gwen get together.

Norman is Peter's best friends dad, develops a serum in the 1st movie, trying to recreate the super-soldier serum, tests it on himself at the end of the 1st movie and starts losing his mind in the 2nd and becomes the main villain for the 3rd movie, Peter doesn't suspect him turning at all during the movies. Gwen gets killed. Norman gets killed by his own glider.

In the 4th movie Doc Ock becomes the main villain, Kraven as the secondary villain. Origin of Doc Ock is similar to Spider-Man 2's Doc Ock and Ultimate Doc Ock. Kraven is the world's greastest hunter, with no game left to hunt. He goes after Spider-Man. Peter finds the symbiote and keeps it until the 5th movie. In the end Doc Ock and Kraven get put into Rykers.

5th movie, Peter gets rid of the symbiote, it finds Eddie Brock. Peter fights Venom and in the end Venom is killed.

6th movie, Harry thinks that Peter killed his father, becomes the Hobgoblin, brakes out previous villains from Rykers. Harry kills Aunt May. Peter has to fight Sinister 6. Peter gets help from Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Black Widow to fight Sinister 6. Some villains are returned to Rykers, a few are killed. Peter kills Harry, not knowing that Harry is Hobgoblin.

This is just off the top of my head, i'll probably come back and edit them if I put more thought into them.

I think that the idea of Electro or Rhino as thugs for a criminal overlord seem like a good origin basis. I'd like Electro more if they go with fabricated web shooters, as we could get Spiderman's adaptability in making non-conductive fluid, or even making conductive fluid.

Of course, Electro would have to be answering to a higher power, I like Kingpin the best because he could make a thrilling fight.

I think the best would be this:
* Parker taking out a few low level crooks, but then takes one associated with Kingpin
*Meanwhile Electro's backstory, have him realize and struggle with his power. Possibly have him being a practical Engineer for Oz-Corp.
*Kingpin gets pissed at Spiderman taking out his thugs and sets out to kill him.
*Spiderman defeats the non-powered mooks.
*Electro creates his supervillain persona, complete with an outfit, and presents himself to Kingpin, who ridicules him until he sees his power, then sets him against Spiderman.
*Electro and Spidey fight, Spiderman barely gets away.
*Spiderman considers whether or not he should continue fighting, with the chances of himself getting killed, decides to and creates non-conductive webbing, wins, and goes after Kingpin
*Kingpin vs Spiderman.
*End Credits.

Meanwhile, establish Parker struggling with the double life in High School, but, with a little help from Gwen and Harry, getting by because it's High School and not very hard.

On a trip to a local hospital students are observing cancer patients receive treatment/ a genetically altered spider in a case of of the students was studying in the school lab had escaped and found its way into the enclosure where an elderly woman is receiving said treatment to help fight the cancer spider makes its way its blasted with the treatment when the woman is receiving it. Peter taking pictures for school paper is in the same room after it has cleared out and said spider bites him.
Cancer patient meets Peter gives him the line “ You must find the good that can come out of all things”.

Wilson Fisk-major weapons dealer-handicap-Wilson Fisk is an overweight man VERY over weight because of this he is stuck in a wheelchair to get around, he is a underground crime lord however and with his assistant Henry Smyth deal weapons on the Black Market and have hired hit men and assassins to take care of his dirty work they are the Enforcers. Henry Smyth has developed a high powered flight sled of sorts a small one man attack sled but have been unable to find a way for a man to pilot the sled at its highest capacity for speed
Henry Smyth-Fisk’s mad robotics scientist
Harry Osborn-Oscorp Chemicals has developed a serum that would enable a man to have abnormal strength but has gruesome side effects Fisk wants this formula to help him walk again and Smythe sees this as the answer to the problem for manning the Glider weapon. Smythe gets formula and is able to take away the side effects for Fisk.
Peter is in high school
Osbourne steals glider weapon from Smyth after his initial transformation into Green Goblin.
Peter changes into Spiderman, to stop terrorist dubbed Green Goblin by the Daily Bugle
