Personally, I'd never want to see Maxie Zeus in a movie...he's a crap character :o

I watched him in TAS version, I thoiugt he was right villian but I agree he sucks to be in a Batman movie.

Baby Doll from TAS, she's just worst character to be in a Bat-movie.

The Mad Hatter.

He's a villain who works fine on paper but not on screen, IMO.

Clayface and The Mad Hatter mostly because they probably wouldn´t work visually well on screen

The Hatter could work, if re-tooled a bit...get rid of the whole hat obbession and mind control thing, and turn him into an alice in wonderland themed pedophile/child killer...he would never be the main villain, but could work as a tertiary villain ala Zsasz in Begins :o

Clayface
Killer Croc
Harley Quinn
Calendar Man
Solomon Grundy

Harley Quinn would be awesome, and Calander Man could also work as a tertiary villain...just combine him and Holiday...Croc is a bit harder to do, and an accurate Grundy just wouldnt fit...

I agree with the majority but would like to see Harley in the future as a side character or small role.

The following villains have no business in a Nolan film:

Mr. Freeze
Mad Hatter*
Man-Bat
Poison Ivy
Killer Croc
Clayface

*Mad Hatter could work if and only if his role was minor, and he was made into a child molestor or something. He could not be a supervillain. In fact, this series should not have "supervillains" at all; at least not in the conventional sense.

Ivy and Freeze could both work I think...if you can buy that there's a leauge of ninjas who've been secretly conrolling world affairs for thousands of years, I think that it woudl be acceptable to have "super powers" like those 2 have...Freeze doesnt even really have powers, he's just a guy with a weird medical condition caused by experimental chemicals...and you could always ditch ivy's plant control powers (which never made sense to me anyway) and just give her the toxic kisses :o

the more I think about Croc, the more I think he could be done too...make him into a sideshow freak/strongman type guy...

killer croc
mr freeze
clay face
man bat

probably a few more. i'd like to see nolan do a remake of poison ivy or introduce the mad hatter, but instead of the hatter being small and fat have him be tall and lanky

Poison Ivy and Penguin are the two Batman villains I've never found interesting. Penguin is too much of a gimmick character (he's obsessed with birds) and I find the character struggles to have any type of emotionally connection to Batman, to make him a strong, profound villain. There are versions of him as just another gotham crime boss, or he tries to go legit, but he's still corrupt businessman. That's kinda interesting, but still...he has no connection to Batman's personality, no way to challenge the hero in some kind of unique, creative way. Poison Ivy is also not interesting to me. First of all, her power (she's immune to toxins and poisons) is pointless. Batman does NOT use poisons or toxins to fight crime, so her power doesn't benefit her at all. The only way I find Poison Ivy interesting is if she's played as a seductive sex-goddess to the extreme, and Batman's human (and horny) side is tempted by her. But even then, her character is stretched too thin (she kills men by seducing them), and that doesn't make her interesting. Catwoman can fill the roll of a seductress as well, so there's no need for Poison Ivy. Plus, when you get really crazy with Poison Ivy, she uses plant monsters to do her bidding, and for Nolan's "realistic" Batman, that can't be done.

Here were possible ways of incorporating Poison Ivy and Killer Croc I suggested in the other thread:

POISON IVY
Of course, a lot of the "toxic blood" and "control over plants" stuff would probably have to get dropped for Poison Ivy to work in Nolan's Batman franchise. I'd introduce Poison Ivy as an assassin who uses a variety of plant-based chemicals to manipulate and/or kill her victims. Theremones, halluciginents, and of course poisons. Her trademark weapon can be the lethal poison lipstick. But she can maybe have a poison-tipped knife at her disposal for combat situations. They could possibly play up the psychotic element of the character by making her fanatical about plants, go for the whole barefoot-naturist look she sometimes has going in the comics.

KILLER CROC
Remember in "The Long Halloween", how after he's scarred, Harvey Dent flees to the sewers, and meets Solomon Grundy? Well could they maybe recreate this in the movie, only with Croc replacing Grundy? Some may think Croc is too "out-there" for the Nolan films, but they're probably thinking of his more recent appearances, where he has become a walking, talking crocodile. If Nolan and co were to base his looks off his earlier appearances, where he actually looked like an African-American man suffering from a horrifying skin-condition, then they could be onto something. He doesn't need much backstory, just that he's lived in the sewers for a long time, and that - like Grundy in TLH - he establishes a trust and connection with Two-Face.

Well, B:TAS proved to me at least that any Batman villain could be done decently if you could figure out how to do it.

In fact, about the only ones I wouldn't want to see are these guys...

I think that all the villans can be worked in it just depends on how creatively accurate the writters can be. That being said I realize that we aren't fans of several of the villans. For instance I wasn't a fan of Scarecrow in the comic or cartoon, but his character was at least entertaining in the movie.

Killer Croc is pointless and so is the Ventriloquist, Orca as well.

Watching Returns yesterday makes me never want to see Penguin on screen again.

I also wouldnt want to see Hush, not cause I dont like him, just cause he would be impossible to do properly.

I don't want to see Mr. Freeze. He just doesn't fit into the movie universe. Also the BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES Freeze can't be topped.

-Hush
-Clayface
-Killer Croc
-Ventriloquist/Scarface
-Mr. Freeze
-Hugo Strange
-Maxie Zeus
-Man-Bat
-Deadshot
-Great White Shark
-Catman
-Killer Moth
-King Tut
-The Puzzler
-Lady Shiva
-Humpty Dumpty
-Orca

That's about it.

i think harley quinn, and killer croc would as henchmen(women) much like mr.szaz was used in begins.

I want to see them all. Even the lamest villains like Maxie Zeus could work as cameos. They could give him a scene like the one in Knightfall, where he's running loose along with the other escaped Arkham Inmates and proclaiming himself a god before running headfirst into a tree.
