Comics What was "Swingshift" about..?

I keep hearing people talk about the "Swingshift" issue that came out during the movie release and that it might possibly be in 616 continuity. Can someone just tell me what exactly happened in Swingshift? Thanks!

Tell me about it.

I know people have been begging for Slott to be on Spidey for a while... And this is what we get? And Jiminez? Why can't he seem to draw Spidey's eyes to match the rest of his art?

Apart from that, it was REALLY corny. If this is to be the future for Spidey, all they're doing is regressing the story to more of a style in the same vein of the Spider-Man animated series of the 80's, (the one just before Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends.) Don't need to elaborate on the suckiness of that.

When people can complain about something being free, you know it's bad.

I mean, I thought these things were used to introduce newbies to comics. Well, if I read that as my 1st comic, I don't think I would EVER think to pick up Spider-Man ever again.

It WAS MJ, for all intents and purposes in this story.

But you know what I found interesting...

We all know that JQ likes to through people heavily in the wrong direction from time to time... And we all are very much hoping that this is the case with the 'undoing,' of the marriage.

Now, I don't know if any of you guys read the VERY lengthy interviews in newsarama re: OMD. During the interviews, while talking with the combo of Slott/Jiminez, (I'm pretty sure it was,) Jiminez that said: Yea, and then I'm going to turn Mary Jane into a super hero and have everyone in the world hate me haha...

I don't know WHAT the hell that meant, but it obviously has SOMETHING to do with Jackpot...
