Mine would be Y1 then also loved reading TLH.

Batman #25: Knights of Knavery.

Joker and Penguin team up to take out Batman and Robin.

Dark Knight Returns.

Though I grew up on Batman 89, BTAS, and Batman (Adam West).

I believe it was one of the issues from the "Legend of Batman" mini series from the late 1980's if I am not mistaken.

The issue of Knightfall where Joker and Scarecrow team up...it's the first one, with Joker in a basket like a snake on the cover :o

Grew up with B:TAS my first comic though was late 1990's and I have no idea which one it was.

To this day I'm praying for them to bring back Kevin Conroy.

My first time ever seeing batman was the cartoon. But my first comic I really have no idea what it was. But if I had to guess it would be some random legends of the dark knight issue. Where Batman is a real knight, and they fight like an army of killer croc looking things, and batman dies in the end but it was really some girl who took bats place. It was really weird.

Year One followed by The Dark Knight Returns. Now the third Batman comic I ever read, I can't remember for the life of me. Probably the first issue of War Games.

I know it had something to do with the Riddler...if that's of any help.

I think it was one with Gearhead in it (random i know), it was really dark and had great artwork, Gearhead creeped me out as i was around 8, and I also got Batman vs Predator 2 as well at the same time.

Batman 492, the very first issue of Knightfall.

Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes the other.

I've been a Batman fan for a long time. Easily my favorite character in all the world. It started with re-runs of the 60's series when I was a kid. Then B89 hit when I was 4, and I was a true FAN. A definitive FANATIC. And as sad as it was, I had never even touched a Batman comic growing up. Just the movies and tv show for me. Then in 2002 / 2003 word of a new Batman movie came up, being a re-start, and starting at the origin. So with that, I read my first Batman comic in 2003. That being Batman: Year One, as an 18 year old. Thought it was outstanding, and I have continued to buy graphic novels ever since.

It went:

Batman: Year One
Batman: Dark Knight Returns
Batman: Hush
Batman: Long Halloween
Batman: Dark Victory
Batman: Killing Joke
Batman: Man Who Laughs

Batman #440 back in 1989.

I'm not quite sure... I think it was the one with the reaper(?). I have diffferent memories of what the cover was like... but I think it had Batman holding a gun(!?). Or it had Batman all cut and bleeding in the back and in front was the reapers blade and there was a piece of batmans costume hanging in it. The oval batsymbol part. I remember it was really violent. I think the reaper slashed Batman to shreads and shot him too. Anyone knows if I remember correctly?

I think it was the first part of the second half of Under the Hood. I remember wanting to get into Batman after BB, and then being confused jumping into this whole story about a Robin who died and came back. I understand it now, but I probably should've started with some of the basics.

Batman # 408

Wow, I bought my first Batman issue in 1987...well, my mom bought it...but I read it. HA!
