So most of us can agree that this movie was pretty bad. We can also agree that it got more than one thing wrong. So, my question to you is.... Ignoring behind-the-scenes drama, what was the worst thing about this movie?

I will try to list the big ones in the poll, but feel free to bring up any others.

Doom was the worse for me. i'm just glad I didn't pay for it. Paid for Straight Outta Compton and got there early enough to watch F4 since Compton has a lot of interest and went on to see Compton after f4 went off.

Theres just no way you can pick just one thing that they failed on, you would have better luck trying to figure out if anything they did right.

I voted "Other" because I felt the worst thing was Studio interference, so even the tone, characters, treatment etc. We will never know the whole story because it got meddled so far.

Like the treatment of Doctor Doom, I don't see what's the fuss is about. He had an excellent hallway scene to show off his powers, the scenes before that he was anti-government *****é who almost bonded with Reed and Storm, that was all good stuff.

Josh Trank.

Yeah about that. Why didn't he use those powers against the FF? Like he's popping heads and then in the final batllw engages in a punch fest with the FF.:funny:

Except it didn't resemble Doom in the slightest, and I don't remember head exploding being one of his powers.

He's a sorceror in the comics, he could use his mystic powers to cause mystical blasts or whatever arcane explosions if a writer ever wanted to do so. Also he (to me atleast) resembled how Doom looked in the 1st arc featuring Doctor Doom in Ultimate Fantastic Four, where he was a hobo. :b

They all got another power on Planet Zero: Main Character Armour.

Doom was arguably the worst villain I've ever seen in any CBM. He had no redeeming qualities, his nonsensical head-popping scene included.

Everything. Specifically Doom. He was nothing like what he was supposed to be. The background (being an anti-social programmer, what the fr*ck were you thinking Fox??), the looks (melted with his space suit, seriously?!), powers (what was with the heads exploding and why didn't he use it once in the final battle?), screen time (last 15 minutes of the film), final battle with him (he got defeated just like that, without doing anything memorable). They just messed up everything.

Doom's power was basically telekinesis. He used it to pop heads on earth, then move and throw chunks of earth around on Planet Zero. Not sure why he couldn't pop the 4's heads on Planet Zero. Maybe he had to be closer? Who knows. Anyway, no iteration of Doom prior to this movie has ever been Telekinesis Guy. You want someone who is just Telekinesis Guy, use the Molecule Man or someone else. Don't waste Doom on a minuscule role that can be filled by a half dozen other random villains.

"Other" -- the fact that it wasn't a complete movie. That just drags down everything else.

I honestly can't decide which one to pick.
And I purposefully left out "All of the Above" because that's too easy. :p

Except he really didn't look like a hobo, Ultimate Doom did have a raggedy Cape and hood, but Dr Van Damme also had metallic hide, clawed hands and demonic goat-hooved legs.

If Fant4stic Doom didn't look like that, then no one can say his appearance was based off of Ultimate Doom either.

At this point I think eight or nine different people have painstakingly pointed out the numerous differences between Ultimate Doom and Domashev, but he's apparently buried his head in the sand.

I think Nuclear Man, Howard Saint, the Riddler & Mr. Freeze are still prime contenders for that spot. haha :sly:

But in any event, I do think it was stupid to give Doom that ability. They could've just as easily showed us that the event gave him mystical based powers and he uses them to accomplish the same thing. THEN it would've made since.

Overall, unlike the last two films, I didn't think Doom was the worst thing about the movie. It's hard to pick a worst thing because there's so much that was done wrong...but if I just absolutely had to pick, I'd say it all went wrong the moment they hired Josh Trank.

Yes, that was all from sorcery derived from Planet Zero where he learnt the mystic arts there. :o

Also, one of the categories should've been "its mere existence."

It's so hard to chose the worst thing in this film, when pretty much everything is horrible. But I chose the lack of chemistry between the actors, because to me that ultimately makes this film unwatchable.

The first FF film has a poor story/plot, but you could at least sit back and watch it, because the actors were given opportunities to gel with one another. I could easily say the treatment of Doom, but again to me part of his problem goes back to the lack of chemistry, as he has no motivations in the script, and no reason to hate anyone.

The lack of chemistry too, also falls on Trank, as he did a horrible job getting performances out of the actors, which is ultimately his responsibility, and he was constantly telling the actors to read the lines with as little emotion as possible.

Any of these reasons are valid, but to me it all stems from this one.

I'm voting for the "Story/Plot" option, as it really also overlaps a good bit of Doom's treatment and the tone of the film as well, thereby covering evening more of the film's flaws.

You should list an ALL OF THE ABOVE option.
