Question: if you haven't the good luck to be a heir/heiress to a major fortune(Tony Stark, the late Janet Van Dyne, Danny Rand et al), then what would be the best job for a superhero/heroine(bearing mind even heroes/ heroines have to pay bills and put food on the table)? My guess would be one that allows a maximum of free time( try saving the world in your lunch hour!) such as the following: food critic, Internet entrepeneur, artist( commercial as in Steve Rogers, the late Captain America), model/fashion designer(esp for heroines). Does anybody have any other ideas on this score?

Peter Parker: Marriage Counselor.

Learn how to hack, and steal money from criminals' bank accounts. That's how Oracle does it.

Construction. Ares, Thor, and others have proved that super-strength + construction = good combination.

Moon Knight = Detective
Ghost Rider = Special Effect in movies unless Blake is doing his stunt thing
Wolverine = He's a Lumberjack and He's Ok!
Storm = Weather Reporter... hahahahaha! I'm funny!
Hulk = One of the officers on COPS. BAD BOYS! WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN HULK SMASH!

For superheroes in general I would think something where you work on your own such as being an author (do it from your house and at a time of your choosing).

Dr. Strange could have an adult Harry Potter type series going based on his own adventures. Dr. Strange And The Demon In The Locket (his power source I believe?)

Deadpool - Stand Up Comedian on Def Jam
Wolverine- chef, come one people, use those knives in the kitchen
Cyclops - Master welder/ construction
Gambit - Vegas Dealer
Green Lantern - rave club dancer with neon effects
Batman - correctional officer at bad prison
Superman - Geek squad repairman from Best buy

In this day and age, I think any job you could telecommute would be ideal, like a blogger or something.

More than any other superhero, I could imagine Superman doing a news blog.

"This just in... I flew around Earth to go back in time *****es! Take that laws of physics. SUPERMAN OUT."

And I could see a bunch of heroes working for hire to turn uninhabitable places into livable ones.

Hmm-let's see: Matt Murdock(Daredevil) is an attorney, Don Blake(Thor) is(was?) a doctor, Simon Williams( Wonder Man) was an actor, Johnny Storm(Human Torch) was a firefighter, Peter Parker(SPider-Man) was a teaching assistant at ESU in addition to being a freelance photographer for The Daily Bugle, Ben Grimm(The Thing) was a test pilot, Reed Richards a noted scientist, Hank McCoy(Beast) a biochemist, Natasha Romanoff(Black Widow) was a fashion designer, Susan Richards was briefly an actress-none of these paid big bucks but they were enough to put food on the table and a roof over their head.

I think a lot of those paid big bucks, actually. Especially Reed's job. His patents rake in cash for the FF.

Jean Grey became a model in the 70s.

The Daughters of the Dragon found a way to make money by doing what they do. They bust criminals and put them in jail, then they make money as bail bondswomen, and then they're bounty hunters who hunt their own clients as well as deadbeats for other people.

I wouldn't have a job. I'd just take money off of Drug dealers after I've kicked their asses and destroyed their drugs.

That would kinda defeat the purpose wouldn't it? What do I look like? A Cop? ;)
