what would you rather see cameron direct next?

avatar 2.
I'm desparate to see more of pandora

Screw the hippie loving stuff from pandora.
I wanna see cyborg action

^Also I like his female characters more than his male ones.

True. Cameron is one of the very few (male) directors who can create strong female characters.
I read in an interview once that he writes the character as a male and once he's finished , he just basically switches the name from male to female.

I do not wanna see Avatar 2. I hope he does a new original movie. I would like to see him do a sort of space movie. More about space men than Alien creatures. The beginning parts of Avatar was some of the most impressive in the movie I think.

BA 100%. i dont like when a director makes back to back the same characters. he comes in the ''safe'' zone.

a lot of times a vacation is not good enough to fresh up your mind. i think Cameron needs to do a different movie with different characters before he goes back to Avatar 2. i would say the same with BA was realesed in 2009.

plus i liked what i got with Avatar. and i like what BA is about. a cyborg girl in a futuristic city? in 3D? hell yes.

I'd like to see him explore the interesting world of toilet seats.

WTF? when did that interview take place? cameron has short hair so it was a while ago. that makes me think there is at least pre production on BA
we already know that. they did some tests for BA and they did some designes

I know remake is a dirty word, but I would like a remake of Forbidden Planet.

Probably 2005. There's an Aliens of the Deep poster behind him, so I'm assuming he was promoting his documentary, when this interview occurred.

any links?
i can not find them. but belie me they already worked a little on BA. nothing big.

i saw an interview from Cameron where he said that after Titanic he said that he will never direct an expensive movie like Titanic. Avatar had an even bigger budget. why did he said that in 1997? put it into context. when Titanic opened it was a 200 million movie. reviews were good. but he didnt know that it will get 11 oscars and made over 1 billion. and the same with Avatar. he didnt know that Avatar would do so much money.

he loves BA and he likes 3D and he likes expensive movies. now that the BO is good i expect that BA will happen in the future. when? i dont know.

I would like Battle Angel to be the next film Cameron directs, but it looks likely that The Dive will be his next project.

Avatar will (worldwide) be the second biggest film of all time. With a small miracle it could topple Titanic. Ding a sequel to a movie that big doesnt seem right for some reason. Not right away anyway...like wait a decade or so for some cool new technology so that the sequel could redefine things the way the first one did, instead of just cashing in. I dont think the story really begs for a sequel, personally. Unless, you want to get into what The Corporation is...and how we destroyed earth...but thats more of a prequel.

Anything but Avatar 2. I think that he should wait another 10 years.

I want to see The Dive, I'm ready to see him do something that is not on such a large scale as his past two.

if he does the Dive it will be in 3D. he wants to show people a small dramatic movie in 3D. like it or hate it

I'm not sure how that would flow with that movie...its a very small piece, true story, etc....would just seem weird if it were done in 3D...
