Man please let it be Battle Angel.
I think it was in the cinefex issue ( or of of the videos) where Cameron said that even though he could've gone forward with battle angel instead of avatar , he chose the latter because that would've been "more challenging". Creating a CG version of Sam Worthington would'nt be as fun as creating a Na'Vi version of Sam Worthington connecting to the audience.
Imagine if Cameron decided to actually create virtual humans for BA.

Cameron is a perfectionist. so if right now he wanted to do BA ? i think he would do a movie where Alita would be photorealistic and her face would move 100% realistic. i know that in Avatar they were blue. but the guy is insane. he pushes every artist to their limits.
