Whatever happened to the Fan Art Contests??

I don't know. I remember one a year or two ago...? Maybe it was for Halloween? It's been awhile.

 

i was running them but there was little to no participation.
sadly, this section doesn't get the traffic that it used to.

if the artists ever come back here regularly i would totally be up for doing them again

 

totally agree. there are artists out on other forums around here but i can't seem to tempt them to pop in over this way

 

Well....I try and keep stuff posted in here, and I'm always stoked to see people posting stuff.

Yeah, I remember low participation going on. It really seems like this area of the board is widely ignored. I know I've been away recently, but I've been cramming on polishing my book project.

 

Hi everyone, I'm new in the forum. I register myself, to learn more about comics, but, I've seen some nice drawings too and they are pretty cool and fun!! Didn't know that back in time existed an art context around here that sounds interesting though.

I like to draw myself too if it would be one day a fun context like that maybe I would join in

 

Well sure, I would like that, but, I don't really draw super heroes, what I do more are caricatures or portraits in sort of GTA comic style though, don't know if there are any rules in the context or we can just post whatever work we do?
But I would like to post soon as I can I will start with posting some drawings just finishing some details

 

Ok then, so here I go just for fun I have this two already done. They are both a digital comic style, the first one is a portrait and the other one is a caricature:



This is a black and white comic portrait in gothic style.





And this one is just a comic style caricature from Arnold.

I hope the images are visible for you guys to see.

 

By the way I'm still learning how the digital program works and how to use shades and lights.
