Ok, I'm currently diving head first into DC comics. I'm about to wrap up Teen Titans v3. There was a bunch of IC stuff I didn't quite get but I'll read IC later. What would be the next logical series for me to read? I have no preference when it comes to DC characters, just trying to read as much as possible. I was thinking The Outsiders; as they've had quite a few crossovers in the TT book, and then jump into JLA.

I'm saving the Green Lantern and Flash series' for later as I wanna get most of the "team" books out of the way.

Thanks in advance. :)

Justice League of America is starting next week and for previous volumes of the canceled JLA book get volumes 1-14, 18, Earth-2, One Million, and Earth-2. Volume 19 is alright, nothing too great. Year One is good, but is no longer in continuity. The I Can't Beleive It's Not the Justice League and Formerly Known as The Justice League are fun stroies.

Volume 15 is really bad if you ask me

Volume 16 and 17 aren't bad, they're just really, really boring

If you're trying to work your way out from the Titans, Outsiders would be the next place to go, then JLA, then JSA, as far as the current major teams go.

Thanks guys. I knew JLA would be the most complicated to get started on.

I've found myself googling DC characters like a madman as I've been a Marvel Zombie for years and I have no clue who a lot of people are. Watching the cartoons have spoiled me too, as JLU and some others are VERY different from the comics.

I think you made a good choice starting with the Titans. I would go Outsiders next and then JLA/JSA. After than you can delve into any character you find really interesting from those books. Welcome aboard mate!

Ha! I had to do that last years too when I was getting into DC, and well comics in general. I thought that part was fun.

I usually find researching characters I'm new to to be fun, too.

Oh, it sure it sun.

I wanna read more of Cpt Marvel Jr. What book is he in currently?

He'll be in the Trials of Shazam limited series. Which starts next month.

It seems to be a story about CM3 progressing into Captain Marvel.

I recommend picking up some YJ trades for CM3, he had a brief stint with Outsiders recently too which actually led to nothing.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of Young Avenger/ Young Justice comparisons and since I love YA, I guess I'll at least like YJ.

If you want to know where 'The Trials of Shazam!' starts off, pick up the 'Brave New World' one-shot, too.

pick up blue beetle and checkmate both have a look at the DCU from outside the major superhero communities

Haha, really? BB and Booster Gold are the butts of jokes among my comic-reading friends as nobody seems to care about those two. First BB recommendation I've ever recieved.

The new Flash? Oh... you poor, poor soul. You have no idea of the torture you're setting yourself up for.

I just wanna read about Wally. My comic book guy was talking some jive about the Speed Force swallowing some people but I covered my ears and ran out of the store. :(

If you want to read Wally, it looks like you're going to have to wait a long time, unless you read back-issues, which you should do, since they kick ass.

At the end of Infinite Crisis, he disappears into the Speed Force, along with his wife and kids. He's not dead, since, in 52, Bart mentions that he's spending time with his family, but he is no longer the main character, or even a supporting character, in Flash.

The title is now about Bart. And it blows.

Hmm, see I like Bart almost as much as Wally, but it's not a good read?

no... not at all... the plot is cliched at best... the characterization is horrid and ive seen better art on preschool fingerpaintings... its pathetic

And for the opposite argument, I love the book. Leaguer is NOT a Hal fan, and I am. I recommend it, AND get GL Corps while you're at it.

Sadly, no. Not a very good book at all. Nightwing and Flash post OYL were the worst books DC's put out in a while.

Aw man, Bart was one of my favorite Titans. Why did they mess that up? :(

As for GL, I like am all except for Guy :o
