Since it's the day after Thanksgiving and everyone's starting to get into the holiday spirit, I have to ask.

Mine had to have been way back in 2001, when I got this baby for Christmas:

I got "Grand Theft Auto III" along with it, so there was no sleeping that night! Best Christmas ever!

A Joe Pass hollow body electric guitar from my then girlfriend.
Then I found out it was $600 and I thought, "WuHoah, she is in LOVE with me."

Also when I was a kid my parents got me my first nice Ibanez and an amp and a Tube Screamer and I thought I'd die from pleasure.
It had a Whammy Bar on it!

This gorgeous thing...the PalmOne Zire 72. I loved this thing...used it everyday...until a idiot buddy of mine broke it. :cmad:

It was a nerd's best friend.

I don't know what my best present was...but the worst was probably a bike. A bike that said “Some assembly required.”

I was ecstatic when I first saw it...what 6 or 7 (I forget) year old wouldn't be? Then my pops decided to crack it open and start putting the bike together. Now, I'm 6 (or 7)...what the hell do I know about putting a bike together...yet I'm recruited to "help my father" as my moms put it. So the assembly conversation was pretty much,

    “Hand me the screwdriver.”

    “You mean this?”

“No. That’s a Tonka truck. The screwdriver is the long metal thing with the plastic handle.”

    “You mean this?”

“No. That's your mom's curling iron. Never mind! (yelling now) Go get Mommy for me because she might have idea of what a screwdriver is! I NEED LIQUOR!"

    :cmad:

    I would've settled for a giftcard.

The really depressing thing is when they get so frustrated assembling it that they force something and break it a little bit.

There's always leftover parts too...who cares right?

Until I'm eating Christmas asphalt because my training wheels decided to go the opposite direction of the way I'm heading.

Bulls V.S. Heat tickets. The last year that the Bulls won the championship. I got to watch Jordan, Pippen, & Rodman play. Sadly they got beat badly, & Phil Jackson actually got ejected from the game. That is the only game I can remember him getting ejected from.

Still though I got to see them play, so...

2002 I got the big Marvel: The Characters and Their Universe book, which was really awesome and a lot cooler than I thought it would be.

Once you reach a certain age most gifts you get are crap. It's during your childhood that you get all the awesome presents. But to answer your question I'd saying all the gifts I got from 1986 till 1993 (ages 4 through 11) were equally great. Whether it was a toy, video game system (Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis), or video game I loved them all equally.

LOL. I remember that game! :woot:
