I find it hard to believe it was irretrievably destroyed, is there something I'm missing?

Yes. The 90's when Apocalypse was relevant.

Has he showed up anywhere since he took over Chambers body in New Excalibur?

Will he show up in the upcoming X-Men Extinction, Mr. Sinister and the Marauders will be showing up, and Mr. Sinister and Apocolypse kinda go hand in hand.

No they don't. Quit reading Ultimate X-Men.

They might not go hand in hand, but I figured that since Apocolypse wants the mutant race to thrive, and they are all now but extinct, that he would show up during this X-Event, especially since Mr. Sinister and the Marauders will be playing a big part in it. Thats what I mean, they might not go hand in hand but in certain circumstances they do, this is one circumstance that seems fitting.

Apocalypse didn't take over chamber's body (he just looks like him now because...). Clan akkaba healed Chamber with the blood of Apocalypse, the existence of which begs the question again of why they can't restore his body if they've got kegs of vintage 'pocky' blood rolling around in the cellar.

Apocy could be a major figure in the MU if done right. If all the mutants are close to being all killed(which would be really stupid) maybe he can be resurrected into a Avengers villian.

After the Onslaught event, when all the heroes were seemingly killed, 'Lips looked like he was being set up to be a major, major villian. Marvel never did anything with it, though.

Probably, I still believe Gambit could become a great character, so anything is possible IMO.

I agree Darth. Gambit could have become a major character. It's just that Marvel right now is not using characters to their potential. I think with Gambit they tried solo series but they didn't have the correct writer on him. I just wish they'd use Apocy to his potential instead of turning heroes bad and fight each other. I don't think Marvel has created any good villians within the last 5 years, except maybe Morlun. Yep! I said Morlun........he could be cool if used correctly and not as a Spidey villian. :o

I hate Gambit, but you're right.
Apocalypse should be one of the most powerful Non psychic/mystical/cosmic villains in the MU. Yet he's often written as an evil rubberman.

I'm sure Marvel has some big crossover event planned involving Apocy down the road maybe 2 years from now.

Why's everyone calling him "Apocy"? It makes me think he should be used to create strongly adherent bonds between surfaces.

So we dont have to spell the whole word, its like calling Spider-Man Spidey or Human Torch, Torch, or Black Panther, Panther.

I hope its better than that god awful BoA
