I just finished reading Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns.

Never read that before and was quite impressed by it.

At the end of the volume, there's a text narrative that describes in more detail what happens in the story. Not sure if this was done before he wrote it or after it was published but it explains a lot more, sort of connects some of the dots.

I'm about halfway through The Road. It's pretty much spectacular and worthy of every single piece of acclaim it's recieved

I'm gonna start Rush to Judgement when I get it from Amazon in a couple days as well.

Finished City of the Dead last night and started Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger.

My condolensces. That's probably the worst book I've ever read.

I just finished The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. It's about 14-year-old murder victim who watches over her family from heaven. It's a sad story, but it's beautifully told and I'm looking forward to Peter Jackson's movie version later this year.

Today I started A Thousand Splendid Suns, by Khaled Hosseni. I read The Kite Runner a few months ago, so I wanted to read his other book, and so far I'm not disappointed by at all.

I don't know, I thought it was a pretty decent start to the series.

I started "The Drawing of the Three: Dark Tower II" A couple days ago, haven't had much free time so I'm only about 40 pages in, I think It's good.

currently reading

Mien kamf by adolf hitler

dude had a serious ego problem

I've always wanted to get around to reading that.

My thoughts too. The Gunslinger is in my top 3 favs for the DT series. Drawing so pretty good. Book 3 is a little better imo.

I've recently finished The Legend of Drizzt: Streams of Silver

The Lovely Bones - I adored it. I am looking forward to the film.

It's a fantastic series.

Have you watched LOTS? There's quite a bit of difference between the two, but it's awesome in its own right.

Can't wait to start.

My friend who recommended saw the series and she was disappointed but she still watches it lol.

i read this a couple of months after my nephew died, and i probably shouldn't have. i couldn't finish it for a couple weeks (months?) because it was just too fresh and hit home in my mind. i don't even know if i could ever re-read it because when i think of it, it still evokes the way i was feeling when i was reading/crying through it

i just finished The Illustrated Left Behind graphic novel. It covers the first book pretty well and sadly, i recognized the art of the artist before i even knew who it was.

comic artists aaron lopresti and jeffrey moy alternate drawing chapters. I think it was originally printed an issue at a time maybe and this was all of them collected in one?

Just finished reading MEG Hell's Aquarium.

Seirei no Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit.

Light reading, but fun, and well put together. Reading the 2nd in the series right now, and I hope that generates enough sales that they continue to translate it.

Hasta,
Ali
