It's the first in the series of GNs. I've also read the second GN entitled "The Long Road Home". Both were fantastic. There are two more GNs but I can't find it at my local libraries. It seems to be that the GNs are all prequels to the novels because Roland was still in his teens, at least in the first two GNs.

Been wanting to read the novels but I'd like to start from the first book. Looks like I might have to order the boxed set. I didn't realize how good the story was until I picked up the GNs. I think there's a plan for a movie. Have you read the novels?

A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

A very enchanting and enjoyable story. I'd strongly recommend this book and can't wait to finish up the rest of the series. I regret putting this off for so long. I even got frustrated with some parts at how the main characters (who were mostly female) were treated, but that's pretty much an example of the lives of women and their roles in the late 1800s.


The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien

Again, a book I put off for so long that I regret now. I was mostly surprised by how fast paced it was from the beginning. It slowed down a bit but it was still all in all a very entertaining story. My favorite part had to be when Bilbo finally met Gollum for the first time. Can't wait to see how they pull that off on screen


Lover Revealed by J.R. Ward

Oh how I love this series. One of my guilty pleasures. The fourth installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. What I love most about these books is how all of the main characters are all under one roof, all fight together, but the author is able to differentiate each character accordingly. No character is alike. I didn't think I'd enjoy this one since the third one was and still is my favorite, but this is probably a close second.
