The Amazing Spider-Man

They cobbled together a good cast for this pointless remake. I love Gardfield as an actor but I found his Peter Parker and Spider-Man to be unlikable. The villian was poor and so was his CGI. I liked how they handled Uncle Ben and an underused Aunt May and Stacy was a cute love interest but nothing groundbreaking. Overall I just found the movie to be largely dull and soulless. It displays hints of a soul but it never really takes off.

Excellent adaption of the timeless Charles Dickens classic, George C. Scott is superb as Scrooge. 9/10

A fun twist on the classic tale with two likable leads as well as an hilarious supporting role from Michael Douglas as the ghost of an old womanizer. 7.5/10
