I'm not enamored with Manhattan either. It's a really well made movie and I can see why many rate it among Allen's best, but it wouldn't even make my top 10 Allen films. I couldn't quite get past the fact that no one in the movie seemed to think it was weird or inappropriate for a guy in his 30s to be dating a 17-year-old girl.

Have you seen Crimes and Misdemeanors? I recommend that one since you like Match Point.

Total Recall (1990)

8.5-9/10

I haven't read the story Total Recall is based on, but the movie felt very much like a Philip K. Dick affair. It's thematically rich and thought-provoking, and the visuals were great for their time (and they hold up pretty well now). Also, the story is really well paced and the action scenes are badass.

Chinatown. ****ing great movie. Great, great movie. I've never seen it, but Wal-Mart had a blu ray steelbook copy for like $12 so I just bought it and I was not disappointed
