Being John Malkovich - 8/10

Someday if I ever get a chance to meet the man I want him to say, "For the love of God." It sounds so epic when he says it.

Stoker

A very well made film that has amazing direction and visuals, this is how you can use visuals to tell a story unlike a few directors *cough* Malick *cough* :o The plot is pretty standard on paper but yet it's Hitchcockian because of the way it was told. I was almost convinced this was based on a novel because of the way it was written. The performances was pretty good but Matthew Goode knocked it out of the way especially during the last few scenes. Overall, it's a great underrated film that I can see have a small following.

3/5

Decent, but like most ghost stories the ending was cliche.

2.5

Although it was fairly entertaining it's still a weak film and the ending is a bit too ridiculous and convenient for one of the characters. The extra .5 is for the actress who plays the "Sushi Girl", great body. :awesome:

Mark Hamill was pretty good in this, I didn't realize it was him until about halfway into the movie.

I just looked this movie up on IMDB to see what else the actress has been in and just found out one of the main characters(Fish) was the actor who played Atreyu in the Neverending Story. :wow:

Just saw this and had a blast. I went in expecting some really cheesy Van Helsing-level schlock and couldn't have been more surprised. I also appreciated the practical effects, something of a rarity these days, and the rather anachronistic dialogue ('I'll blow his brains out all over these ****ing hillbillies.') :D Enormously entertaining.

I'll give it a solid B.

The Call

A movie that really feels like direct to dvd title even though the movie sets up sorta good. Halle Berry was decent at times but overacted overall and Abigail Breslin who was almost like if she never acted before. The villain was pretty weak and the movie overall was a combination of Taken (or Nic Cage's Stolen more specifically) and Maniac but done pretty poorly.
5/10

Snitch - A solid action drama starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I think he gave his best acting performance yet. 8/10

Cloud Atlas - I don't get it. The film was hard to follow. I may have to see this a few times before I can really judge it. Tom Hanks was great though.

I just watched this too and I loved it.

Was in a Disney mood, so watched me some Sleeping Beauty and Tangled. Man, I can never get over how stunningly gorgeous the Sleeping Beauty remaster is. Truly unparalleled animation, by ANY standard.

The Empire Strikes Back

WE THINK THE WORLD OF YOU (1988) starring Alan Bates and Gary Oldman
