It's a good comedy. I like it when Kong shoves a tree down Godzilla's throat:funny: it looks so stupid.

The film would be such a great remake though. Plus, doesn't it have an alternate ending where Godzilla wins? I think in the non-US version, they have Godzilla win (for Japanese audiences who wanted to see their monster come out victorious, I would assume).

'Thunderball'

It's a great movie, but some scenes just drag on way too much in my opinion.

8.5/10

List compiled from last week into the weekend.

State of Play
The Town
Black Snake Moan

First Time Viewing
American Hustle - Bale actually made me laugh, think that's a first.
Felt like Cooper overacted a little. Loved the De Niro cameo.

The Wolf of Wall Street - Very entertaining in a shallow/despicable way.

Prisoners - holy hell that movie

You should watch Harsh Times, it's basically Bale's Training Day (where he occupies the Denzel Washington role as a crazy loose cannon, but he's not a cop, he's trying to become one throughout though, J.K. Simmons also shows up and has some very funny scenes).

According to this strange site called Wikipedia or something, it's a myth:

Dual Ending Myth

A remake would have been cool, but Kong must be bigger then:hehe:

Yeah, Kong would definitely have to be a whole lot bigger to even be a match against Godzilla. Personally, I would just love to see the visuals of a gigantic gorilla swinging around skyscrapers and taking on a seemingly unstoppable gigantic dinosaur because their fighting styles are so different and unique. Obviously Godzilla's more powerful by nature, but that'll only make you cheer for Kong more because he would be the underdog in a fight like that (as he'd probably be damaged a lot easier, especially if Godzilla could breathe fire still). There needs to be way more versus type films, like Freddy vs. Jason (which was just fantastic IMO), especially with the success of versus/team-up films as of late (the most notable one being The Avengers).

Or he could be his regular size. Bigger than us, but smaller than Godzilla:hehe:

Yeah, I want more of those versus movies myself. Here's what I want to see:

Tarzan vs Predator (like the comic)
Tarzan vs Batman (team-up, based on the comic)
RoboCop vs Terminator
Alien vs E.T.
E.T. vs Predator
Paul Blart vs John McClane
Seinfeld vs Homer Simpson
Gremlins vs Critters vs Ghoulies
Jason vs Michael Myers

:woot:

Tarzan vs. Predator would be sick. Ash vs. The Evil Dead vs. Freddy vs. Jason would be amazing too (it'd be cool seeing the usual slasher victims becoming the hunters against Freddy and Jason, forcing the two to work together for a bit before, of course, turning on one another with Bruce Campbell's Ash character in the midst of it all). Also, although it was hinted at with Prometheus, a full-blown Alien/Blade Runner crossover would be incredible for a Prometheus sequel with the aliens invading Los Angeles with an aged Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) helping Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) destroy them. Darkman vs. The Evil Dead would be incredible too, as they are both Raimi's films.

I like your ideas:up:

Darkman vs Evil Dead...that must happen. Isn't there a Dynamite comic where Ash and Darkman meet?

I wouldn't be surprised. Bruce Campbell and Liam Neeson on-screen together would equal box-office gold. Make it happen, Raimi! :woot:

Leprechaun vs Rumplestiltskin

The one movie they did from the 90s. Think how epic that face off would be

The Hunger Games.

Had to give it a re watch before I watch Catching Fire since I've only seen it once or twice. Still think the games in the first are kinda boring

This is the End
7/10

Iron Man 3
8/10

2/5…I'll put it above Elektra and behind Punisher:WarZone for Marvel adaptations.

Wow! This was like a hundred times better than the first movie. Like, sooooo much better. Absolutely loved it.

Elysium. Still love it. Don't get everybody's complaints one bit.
