The Other Side of Hope - A bit all over the place in terms of tone, and one short subplot made me think some gangsters were gonna be involved in the plot, but a good movie overall. Some very funny moments too. 7.5 / 10

The Red House (1947)

A great use of suspense with an intriguing mystery and a climactic ending. Edward G. Robinson gives a solid performance as his character gradually gets creepier throughout the film especially after the reveal.

First Reformed - well this was interesting. It was a Christian based Paul Schrader directed film that turned into a "climate change revelation"*story. Can't say I especially cared for it, but the ending was really weird at least. - 6 / 10

The Usual Suspects

A genuine masterpiece. And not just because of the now legendary ending. I hadn't watched in a while, and this time I really appreciated everything that preceded it. It's a masterfully constructed thriller, with a razor-sharp atmosphere, great characters (played by a wonderful cast) and a tense and engaging story. It's Bryan Singer's most energetic movie, which is ironic, considering that he's done more action-oriented pictures down the line. And John Ottman's bold score is simply incredible.
