The Florida Project - 9/10
A revelation of a film. While it certainly doesn't tread new thematic or narrative ground, the sense of character and place is so genuine and affecting that I could watch these people for hours. I can understand the controversy over the ending, but at that stage in the film I was so fully immersed that even a slightly iffy landing did not detract from the entire experience.

Such a dull movie with dull fighting choreography, some nonsense thrown in that could have been discarded and nothing would be missing from the movie.
Why would I want to watch a movie where the protagonist is almost useless and wins a fight only after getting stabbed relying on his manufactured immortality? That's not fun?

A boring movie about an old baseball scout who refuses to go to see a specialist about his eyes, and that plot goes nowhere, the baseball stuff is more important to the plot, and it's duuuuuuulllll.
