It was! My sister talked to one of the staff afterwards thinking that perhaps they didn't know about the intermission, and was told that they couldn't manually bring up the house lights because it was all computer controlled and corporate hadn't sent them the program to turn on the lights during the intermission. Apparently the only way they can turn on the house lights manually is if they turn off the projector first. There are more showings on Wednesday so hopefully they'll have the program before then!

    Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

It's Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) vs a volcano as they attempt to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from the aforementioned volcano on Isla Nublar. With the backing of John Hammond's former partner in developing the technology to clone dinosaurs the two set out on their mission but of course something sinister lays's beneath

Pratt and Howard have great chemistry together, and apart they are charming.
Justice Smith as Franklin Webb:A former IT technician for Jurassic World is basically around for comic relief and i did laugh a couple of times at his sonic screams.
The SFX and visuals are great. There are some touching moments woven into this adventure.
There is an interesting and unpredictable twist in the plot.
I didnt have a problem with a portion of the plot with rich people attempting to buy the dinosaurs to use for sport or biological weapons.

Even with all of the thrills and good things the film has going for it the other half has that been there done that feel to it.With cookie cutter greedy and sinister characters, coupled with those that make dumb decisions with predictable results.
I definitely had to suspend disbelief over a dozen times.

I know some people hated the ending, but i loved it and would be perfectly fine with the Jurassic films ending here ...but i know that's not going to happen.

    First Reformed

Slow and bleak drama with Ethan Hawke at his absolute best. Those last ten minutes were nerve-racking. Glad to see Cedric the Entertainer taking on more serious roles.

I liked the first film but this is crap, it's like some DTV sci fi flick from the early 90's and Sly and Batista are really just supporting characters to the ultra wooden lead. 3/10

Two reviews to say this exact thing.
As someone who enjoys the first movie myself, I guess I'll not ignore the warnings on this one.. for a few years at least.
