Well I mean I'm not sure I want to.
Got some other things on the plate, depending on if I do grad school.
Yeah, graduating can be a *****.
I agree with everything else you said but making alcohol illegal probably wouldn't be such a great idea. It didn't exactly work in the '30s so I doubt it would work now.
For that matter, making marijuana illegal hasn't exactly stopped it's availability.
The only reason booze is legal is because the Government can Tax it.
If the man thought they could tax pot they would.
they don't just cuz it's much better bu$$ine$$ to keep it illegal
Um, why wouldn't they be able to tax pot? All they'd have to do is sell it like packs of cigarettes. In fact, it's extreamly silly that it's not legal and taxed. At least then they'd be making money off it and not spending money trying to fix the 'crime' associated with it.
In fact, it's putting into hands of people who don't mind selling to 10 or 11 year olds. Into hands of people who'll often push harder drugs. This, just does not make sense.
apparently, it has become legal to have pot here in Mexico, as long as it's just for personal consumption
how freaking SANE.
Too true, but there is a point to smoking all the time. Man Once in a while at the end of a hard week is a great way to calm down, but damn not everyday. Pot to me is easier to kick or regulate if Im the only one buying it, its just that my classmate also lives in my building and supplements his income with sales of green. Ive been getting free smoke almost every other day until I had to say something. meh...
Both are irresponsible choices. Alcohol is more accessable and can cause more harm but marijuana is a class one drug still. So on the legal standpoint marijuana is supposed to be more dangerous but realistically it doesn't cause as much harm. Just stay away from both
Not me; I love bongs.
Meh... I'll stick with Dip it and Zots.
I agree...almost everyone drinks and it doesnt destroy many peoples lives when you look at the huge number of people who use it.
Weed on the other hand makes them so boring and lazy, and smelly
Not at all. Alcohol, Tobacco and firearms (which are all quiet legal for certain age groups) easily finds its way to to youth...even children that young depending on your area of residence, economic standing, education, etc. Actually most studies indicate a much lower rate of substance abuse as correlated with education levels. College graduates and Grad school Grads tend to drink, use drugs, and possess firearms at a much lower rate than say a high school dropout of worse. They even found during the Clinton administration while doing research for one-stop job training centers that privately run educational centers for lower class people (such as unwed mothers and gang members) yielded incredibly low rates of substance abuse and violence. Several such places were able to take former unwed crack addicted mothers and find them skilled labor jobs in addition to cleaning them up. Making something legal or illegal merely creates a black market (or at least thats the fear most of the time). Obviously every country in a capitalist society will have some degree of black markets, its unavoidable...since there will always be someone who wants something they otherwise would not have access to. However making it legal or illegal, at least from study have shown little correlation with its prevelance amongst youth or poor culture.
Let's see. I'm guessing you've never had to deal with a family member becoming an alchoholic, losing a family member to drunk driving, pay fo a family members court fees for drunk driving, pay to get a family member into detox. Alchohol destorys a lot of peoples' lives, and it doesn't just destroy the life of the person abusing it either. Moreover, if you think stoners are lazy, try dealing with somone who is in a drunken stupor 24/7.
I'm taking a guess here, since I'm too lazy to look up stats, but I'm fairly certain if you do look up the stats, there are far more alcohol related deaths than pot related deaths. Plus, I've never heard of raging abusive pot heads.
Well then, you are a terrible guesser.
Yeah there arent many people dying from pot.
