When can we expect a new trailer?

Trailers do NOT always immediately appear online. For TDK we had to wait 2 to 3 weeks in some cases.

Thats simply not true. The virals always released the trailers as soon as the Monday after the Friday the trailer debuts in theaters. Once it hit the virals - it spread throughout the internet.

Katurso is right - there isn't a real impact made by trailers in front of movies.

The possible exception could of been I Am Legend, not because of the trailer - but because of IMAX viewings. Since IMAX tickets are more than theater tickets, and since IMAX gave a full scene that did not hit the internet (outside of horrible bootleg quality) - and the hype for TDK as it is - I think enough movie goers who would typically not go to IMAX went to IMAX to make a possibly relevant bump to ticket sales.

But make no mistake - I Am Legend made the money it did because of Will Smith.

Clearly it would be an insane argument to claim that a movie makes millions based only on a trailer. But why do people go to see movies like that? Hype has a huge part to play in it. Having a big trailer in front of a big film only creates more of that hype, more of that reason to go see it. If you have a fandom that is going to respond to a trailer like that, it makes a difference (Because it is a rare occurrence)

Is it a huge factor? Of course not, not with ticket prices as high as they are today. But it CAN matter.

I really should have snapped some more, but I didn't really know if it was allowed. Plus, there were loads of other Trailers going on a loop on the same monitor, so you had to wait a long time for Watchmen to come back on, but at least I got to see it twice. It really is something to look forward to!

Like most said already, another trailer would most likely be attached to Bond (which I hope, because I can guarantee more people will see that) or Spirit.

if it is i will be happy as hell. having a kick ass new watchmen trailer and then either watching the spirit or bond will be gold to me.

after seeing the dark knight with the first trailer attached was the best night of my life. i want that experience again.

I don't know, but it might as well be the same trailer. I saw it in Norway at the Sci-Fi World convention.
