I'm really considering buying back issues of Green Lantern to read this storyline, but have no idea when it started. So, please tell me, so I can do this.

its really good, it started 2 months ago in the sinestro corps special. Great Read

What issue of Green Lantern did they first come in? And were they in any Green Lantern Corps issues? Can you give me a complete list? That would be great, cause I could throw them in my box tomorrow when I get comics...I became interested the minute I saw Cyborg Superman there...

it was the last 2 or 3 issues of green lantern, and the last 2 or 3 issues of green lantern corps, i dont know the exact numbers since i am at work. Try wikipedia

2nd and 3rd printings come out tom.

thanks, I'll pick them up tomorrow, I do believe.

If you want to see Cyborg Superman's initial return, check out the trade Green Lantern Vol. 2: Revenge of the Green Lanterns. It really plants him as a Green Lantern villain and it makes him awesome. Hank Henshaw is a scary villain. The scary thing is that he looks like he could be good because he's part Superman, but he is just bad. He's becoming his own villain, instead of being a copy of Superman that happens to be evil. And I like the fact that the heroes call him Hank Henshaw instead of Cyborg Superman as of recent.

IMO, the whole thing started at issue 7 of GLC, and 6 issues after OYL on GL. There was small build up to it, like GUy being framed, Mogo being infected and such. The actual Sinestro Corps books start at Green Lantern 21 and GLC 14. Then theres the one shot, if you can find it.

From wiki;
The main story consists of ten parts plus an epilogue, running through the GL and GLC books. Part One was released in June as the Green Lantern Sinestro Corps Special #1. Parts Two through Ten, which will be released between August and December, alternate between Green Lantern #21-25 and Green Lantern Corps #14-18, with an epilogue in Green Lantern #26.[2] Blue Beetle #20 and Green Lantern Corps #18-19 are also connected to the story.[2] December will also see the release of Green Lantern/Sinestro Corps Secret Files #1, further explaining the back story of both groups.

Personally, If you have the money, buy the whole run of GLC, and all the post OYL GL books. The first arc of GL OYL was alright, but since then it's been good. If you just want the Sinestro Corps story itself in GLC and GL, pick up from issues 14 and 21, respectivly, as well as the oneshot.

I got the Sinestro Corps one shot, and GLC 14 and GL 21...gotta pick up the other few that are out tomorrow, cause I really enjoyed the couple issues that I read of it

It is a very enjoyable story arc. The sheer scope of this would lead one to think that it would fall out into the Countdown books (especially with the return of the Anti-Monitor), but from what I understand the entire Sinestro War will be wrapped up in the Green Lantern books.

Despite the building up to the Sinestro War prior to the special, the checklist for "The Sinestro Corps War" so far goes like this:

Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps Special #1
Green Lantern #21 Part 2 of The Sinestro Corps War
Green Lantern Corps #14 Part 3 ...
Green Lantern #22 Part 4 ...
Green Lantern Corps #15 Part 5 ...
Green Lantern #23 Part 6 ...
Tales of the Sinestro Corps: PARALLAX #1

I've been loving the Sinestro Corps arc. It has made me consider buying the GLC series on a regular basis after it is over. And before, I never grew much interest in GL characters.

Rebirth did that for me. So weird now that I'm so into the entire GL thing because before, I didn't even give a crap outside of Guy in JLI.

I was able to find first printings of all of them but GLC #15, which I just ordered off e-bay...

I actually had to go to Waldenbooks to find one of the, GL #22 I think it was...last copy they had too

Yeah, I have to do that quite a bit here (Waldens, and Books-a-Million), if I notice I'm missing certain issues. The comic book store that's local to me (the other closed at the end of 2003, this one opened late last year) is pretty shoddy when it comes to ordering. And essentially, it's basically first come, first served. Despite even being asked, and making a comic book pull list. Unfortunately, I have to play catch up alot. Which means Waldens and Books-A-Million, along with online ordering come in handy. But it can be, and often is, a headache.
