YES!!!
But I can't....can't stopppit!!!
Well, if you must continue...Would you at least send me some precious pho-tos?
YES!!!
But I can't....can't stopppit!!!
Honestly now....doesnt ANYONE care/have/wanna talk about these seemingly beautiful figures?
My comic book shop said next week so I'm holdin' out hope...I'm just worried that their articulation will be kinda crappy...I hope they have movement in their legs as in their thighs..it'd be nice to have ball socketed joints but I dont think they do
I still find real damm fun that people who aaaaaaactually read the book will get into this buying toys craze related to a motion pic.![]()
Yeah, comic book readers buying toys, that's crazy, right!?! Whodathunk that the type of person to read comic books would also be into buying action figures? It's mind-bottling.
Next you'll tell me anime kids like to play video games!

Katsuro, Katsuro, you broadly generalized a very specific kind of commentary, now don't you?
See: I was addressing this particular group of readers, e.g., readers of Watchmen, who by now would be a bit familiar with the irony the book distills on this kind of superhero toys.
Anyway: I was just puzzled by reading so much excitement on what seemed to me a funny straight forward paradox.
PS: as a side note, out of mere curiosity. What exactly do you do with these toys? You play with them, or you just, like, put it on a shelf as "adornment"?
I'm a dork like that....machine gun and explosion and punching sounds and everything!!!
Not too long ago, I bought a Heath Ledger Joker figure. I was really excited. Now, it sits lifelessly (no pun intended) in a couch next to my laptop and I'm not sure what I should do with it.
They sit there, like peices of art. Thats their point.

Here ya go jokes_on_you2, here's the pictures. I thought I'd put them in spoiler tags....

And, I stopped by my local comic shop, and within the week they'll get a shipment of Watchmen figures. So I put a deposit down on a pack of 4 (Rorschach, Nite Owl, Ozy and Silk Spectre II), definately looking forward to those!
And a good point it is. I just don't feel that way about most toys that I buy. The Joker I was talking about was a Movie Masters one, not even a Hot Toys version. I mean, it's nice looking and cool, that's why I felt compelled to get it, but I don't consider it "art" per se. I guess it's kinda like those people who can't understand how adults spend any time on comics or consider it an art form, even though I do.
Now, if I had gotten a Hot Toys Jokah, I would probably display it somewhere, because I do think there is a greater artistry behind it.
thanks soooo much CBGB, my comic book shop had it so i bought one! it woulda been even more SHWEET if it bloody glowed! haha
Yeah, what do you think of the figure?

I went to my local comic shop and they already have the figures on display but they were like "We can't sell them untill tomorrow"

And the figures look AMAZING!!!
EXTREMELY DETAILED (and yes the nipples are on Ozymandias and Laurie..articulation isn't too great on Silk Spectre 2 but..whatev)
they look NOTHING like the photos, the pics that have been released don't give the figures justice..
I'm sooo incredibly pissed that they but them on the shelves today but can't sell them 'till tomorrow...all I can do Is pray that the Rorschach figure will still be there after school...
Now, question: my concern is what is the situation with the articulation? I am BEGGING for Rorshach to have ball jointed shoulders and these guys to hopefully have ball jointed legs because I want to be able to put them in cool punching and or kicking poses...can you confirm?
