Sequels When do you expect X4 to come out?

Okay the last three movies came out three years apart, but with all the spinoffs they have planned I'm think it won't come out until at the least 2010.

I dunno, it's not that important and there are too many variables. Will they even make another one, will they rush it like this one or take their time to make a good movie, will they recast people... too many variables right now. 2010 may seem like a safe bet but even 4 years might not be enough. I go with 2012

2009. They may be able to downplay the huge BO #'s, but they won't ignore the huge DVD sales come christmas time. I think after all is said and done, X4 will be greenlit in 2007, filmed in 2008 and released in 2009; spin-offs or no spin-offs. I think X4 will be the last for a good while though, with the oversaturation of X characters out there from spin-offs & sequels.

X4 is more then a sure thing

for those who think it isn't happening, once the final numbers come in and Xmen has made roughly 250 million (my guess, if this second weekend hadn't dropped quite as hard i would have considered it a lock for 300, all in all, there still isn't a big market release till superman returns to really knock the steam out of xmen so you can put up at least 30 million the next two weeks like this one on there) and also another 180 or so over seas, so your looking some where in the neighborhood of 400 million for a movie that many comic fans(excluding myself) did not think was a well made movie

when they look at those numbers, the general public reaction (which is good) the super fan reaction( which was mixed at beast) and think if they can at least keep the general public happy they will continue to make money, and if they can make the superfans happy they will make tons of money

obviously i doubt they will spend another 200 million, but it will still happen probobly with a budget of 150 (which is still a **** load that they can make a cool flick out of) with the proper time and preperation...so that means for a 2009 release they have to announce it by the Fall, which i would be surprised if it happened, i think they will wait till christmas DvD sales, once those numbers come in they will annouce it around January, Febuary 2007, pre production will start scripting casting financing budgeting marketing, the works that should be done around the Fall...
depending on when and where they start filming they might not start till the spring if they want to film in vancouver again, then they will probobly spend the usual 3-5 months filming, ending august september something like that 2008
if they are shooting for the memorial day 2009(which they should they would be the only movie franchise with 4 movies in one decade i think all making about 400 million in total box) that gives them about 4-5 months of post production, which depending on the CGI and what they did in pre production could/should be enough...

i will say Memorial Day 2009 at the very earliest
i think 2010 would be likely too
depending on if the spin offs flop it could be even 2012-15 before we see another one and by then it might be batman begins route anyways

but point is...there will be an X4, XBegins, X-Men continues movie or what ever, there is no reason to shut the franchise down, within 7 years there will be another XMen movie..

if batman got another movie (it was that franchises last chance, because most thought it was dead) xmen has at least 1 more movie, if not 3 or 10

if they wait 9 years for X4 they will just go Batman Begins on us, and reboot the franchise with new faces

X4 will come out in 5 or less years or won't come out untill like 2023 or something like that when the new cycle of movies hits

I doubt there will be a prequel spinoff unless what i previously said is true and in that case your X4, 5, and 6 will turn into 2,3, and 4

Wolverine summer 08, Magneto winter 08 is my perdiction, Magneto is going to be an oscar caliber picture from what they are saying, and that is where they put films of that ilk there

the other spin-off, the young xmen, i believe is just going to be X4 with an emphisis on the younger xmen from 3 like Iceman and Shadowcat, and Gambit hopefully

If they really wanted to couldn't they shoot the Magneto and Wolverine movie at roughly the same time, or are there any charecters that would be in both. The same director doesn't have to do them both. I know this is wishful thinking, but I'd be nice to see Wolverine come out in 2008, Magneto in 2009, and X4 in 2010. They want a different Magneto in his movie anyways.

the same director won't do both, and from many accounts they will be taking place at different times, at different parts of the world

my gut feeling is Wolverine summer 08, Magneto December 08, January 09 to be in contention for the Oscars

I honestly don't think they will have the budget to film an Xmen movie every year... unless the SPinoffs are simply megahits... I say at least three spinoff films 08, 09, 2010/11... then they will probably wait a few years to do the sequels... I doubt the original cast will return anyway... but by 2014/15 all the young Xmen will be in their prime so why not...

Most of the original cast has already stated that they would be happy to return if there was a sequel. I don't get why so many people assume the actors won't return.

I think 3 or 4 years, don't think will be more, it would be very weird, it would be a little late for that, but thinking about what we got with X3 after three years of waiting and hopes and all, I don't want to happen the same again, you know...

I want other studio, that would be my first desire with this saga, but this won't never happen.

i beg to differ, i think if the spin-offs bomb that will further garuntee a new X-men movie, and a quality on at that because if the spin-offs flop, they will have to go to there gaurntee for cash in the Xmen, it will also show, that while the Xmen as a whole generate very much buzz, when they stand alone the buzz isn't quite there, i would also hope they see that and decided to make a team movie instead of a movie focusing in on 2 xmen or so
