I doubt the film will do well. Nothing I have seen in the trailer would indicate this is a good film. I will go see it, but my expectations are very low.

This film was poorly marketed. They took some of the lamest scenes in the movie and put them in the trailer, which I think had a big hand in making this a dud. Sure the movie sucks, but don't tell the average movie going audience that before they pay to see the film!!!

Hanging upside down from a chandelier, how many exploding heads does one movie need and to show them all in the previews - the list could go on.

And Postal won a dozen film festival awards. It's still one of the worst movies ever made, no matter how many people Uwe bought off. I've never seen Johnny Flynton, but if it's anything like the Punsiher, I'm sure Lexi was doing...favors...for that nomination too.

PS- I would love it if she read this thread and I made her cry. She deserves it.

It never was a success, it like a rip-off of Blade Runners neon bar and smoke machines, in a smaller dark room where the Punisher says five lines and never once stops to do a static Punisher pose, I'd would have been happy w/ a lame half-#ss'd a Mel gibson pose or a Will smith (Bad Boys) pose. I think LEXI took the job to pay her rent & to get her h'wood chops--I THINK WE ALL WATCHED THE DEATH OF PUNISHER, which is bad since Ray was a great choice for the role.

Those festivals don't qualify on the same level as the Academy Awards. If it won at Cannes or Sundance, then maybe you'd have more of an argument there. I've seen Johnny Flyton, its a well made film. That and Hooligans actually had a lot of what PWZ lacked. Both of them are actually better than War Zone because it shows a more personal side to her filmmaking. Hopefully that is something she decides to return to after this.

I like Penny Marshall's work. As for Catherine Hardwicke...well she needs more practice, but she did okay with "Twilight".

Punisher comes out here sometime in the 1st quarter. I'm looking forward to it.
