I was having a talk with my bros and the topic came up.

Rumor is that he won't be on screen long so I think that if they do a quick flash of SS's origin then they should show Galactus shrouded in shadow.

My brother said they should after SS goes back into space at the end. (Assuming Galactus makes it anywhere near earth and sets up for a spinoff.)

I suspect we may get the Surfer's origin, somewhat abbreviated, as an extended prologue of sorts to this film.
This may be where we see Galactus, rather than later in the film. But I suspect he will probably in deep shadows, bathed in energy. We'll probably only see portions of him.

I feel fairly certain Galactus will not actually arrive at Earth in this film.

I think the surfer should stay shrouded in mystery and his orgin be saved for another flick first off. Now as for Galactus he should be shown at the end. Let everyone stand amazied. I do feel however that what he does to a planet should be mentioned, which I'm sure it will. Save him for the 3rd film.

Well just a question? Didn't Galactus come and remove the stolen power from Doom after reed tricked him into leaving Earth?

The way the studios think, the origin (at least its telling) is essential. I think there's some logic there; people won't want to follow this character through the film and never find out where he came from.

i think we shouldn't see him till the end. It should be a big glimpse.

They would tell Norrins origin and you only see like His eyes or in the shadows in flashback if they have them or you just here the name being mentioned, but i think the movie should end with his nearing earth when we finally see him, like a giant suspense ending. :)

Save him for the third film, but allude to his presence as the cliffhanger for FF2.

He should only show up at the beginning and end, IMO. The movie isn't really about him.

he should be left for the very end of the film. the fight scenes won't envolve galactus much, he'll be to busy assembling his machine the surfer will do all the fighting, a commotion happening under his feet would be the least of his concerns. we are gnats to him.

big g is just setting up the table.

I want to see Galactus in his full glory. His voice should resemble Orson Well's Unicron. In fact you can say that Unicron was transformer's equivalent of Galactus or should I say a *cough..rip off cough* ;)

I'm not expecting a real "cliff-hanger" ending. I think it will be known that he's coming, and that's sufficient to keep the audience in suspense. Not that I wouldn't love to see the ending of FF #48 come to life on screen, with the fate of the world about to be decided... Frankly, it's hard to imagine Fox having the guts to do it, no matter how much confidence they have in this film.
And audiences generally require a minimum amount of closure or they leave unhappy. I'll never forget the groans I heard at the end of Back To The Future 2. And Matrix Reloaded for that matter. A lot of folks weren't happy leaving the theater in both cases.
By contrast, Empire Strikes Back was every bit as "to be continued," as Future 2, but it didn't close at a crucial moment. You felt there was closure of sorts, not that you were totally left hanging.

Put it this way: If they do have the guts to have Galactus step out of his ship before the awestruck FF in the last shot of FF2, they better have FF3 in theaters the very next year. We haven't heard anything about any back-to-back shooting like Pirates and Matrix, so...I don't see a reveal of Galactus happening in the final moments. But I think we will see him.

I'd be fine with a cliffhanger ending but Malus is right, unveilng him and then cutting to the end credits is like having sex with a hot girl and getting busted by your parents mid orgasm, the audience would hate it.

I honestly think they may do it the same as Venom in SM3 and throw everything into a massive climactic final battle in the movie

Probably not the best example but they could do it like Mortal Kombat, where Shao Khan shows up immediately before the credits looking a hundred foot tall and towering above the heroes. Deal with Surfer then his boss shows up, out of the frying pan into the fire type thing.

I agree with you. I don't think we will get the two movie treatment for this story. I think FOX will look to be done with this in one swoop, so they can move on with FF3 and an SS spin-off sooner.
