We all know a movie is well on the way and a writer is engaged. So when should this movie come out? I would say maybe around 2009 or 2010. Sure that sounds far but i think it sounds reasonable.

Which date would you say?

Wow, Thor is gay? I mean I guess all the signs are there, but I never payed attention to them.

as soon as possible 2009 at the latest:ninja:

LMAO

You're right, of course he is, these are his best friends...you don't get any gayer than a fat ginger man wearing skin-tight purple - unless he's hanging around with two other men with ridiculous maustaches.

I couldn't care less when it comes out, but when it does they should aim for a fall or winter release. That seems like the perfect time of year for a Thor movie.

The more I think about it, the more I'm really looking forward to a Thor flick.

How old are we?

I would imagine 2009 or 2010, Marvel has Iron Man & Hulk for 2008, Captain America, Wolverine, Punisher 2 for 2009, So either 2009 or 2010 would be a good fit.

Don't take it personally Thor fan, it's just a light-hearted jibe. No-one is calling Thor homosexual.

I am.

My best guess is 2011/2012. They have a ways to go and this isn't a simple film. They have to recreate another world bascially. It's not just creating a hero and throwing him today's time.

I would think that the costumes will be more along the lines of Vikings rather than Robin Hood: men in Tights.

Should have come out years ago damn it. Instead we get Elektra, Punisher and FF4 first, and man were those brutal.

Old enough to not pull a mardy when someone makes fun of something we like. Old enough to be able to mock our favourite characters because we aren't silly enough to believe that everything we like is perfect.

Speak for yourself, man. Thor is about as straight as a gay parade through San Francisco.

Just in case some of you don't understand why some movies were released before others.

#1 the studio doesn't care what a handful of fans want they do what's finanically feasible for them

#2 Main reason...Marvel wasn't making films back then...they were selling the rights so whatever rights were sold...would result in films. Some rights were more expensive than others.

#3 Some characters are more risky than others as far as risk/reward. Thor and Cap are very difficult projects to translate to the big screen. Hulk and Punisher while might not be the best...are pretty much assured to take in enough to pull in a profit even if not recieved well.

Just a general statement: Give them a chance to get these off the ground. YOu can't have it both ways where you complain when the rush a film then scream and yell when it's taking too long...or it doesn't come out right. Then I hear the whining about how they should have waited. LOL Marvel has yet to make a film yet. Iron Man will be it's first studio film.

Ideally, the film would have a balance of the grandeur of the Asgard-based adventures, as well as the Marvel-based angle of transporting Thor to modern-day Earth. For a screenwriter, this is probably no easy feat..Donald Blake should be included; it could be like ‘Superman' meets ‘E.R.'..

That is exactly what I don't want, for the first film. I think the first one should take place only in Asgard, and Feige already said they might go that route anyway.
