Homecoming When will they announce the casting?

My money's on the end of this month.
Civil War was originally going to start filming on the 4th, but they're now filming on the 27th.

I think it was to give them more time to find the right actor for Spider-Man.

As for Comic-Con James Gunn revealed that Marvel was planning on not going to Comic-Con, so he didn't know whether he would go either.
However, I am sure that even if they don't go, people from Marvel will be there. And why not go to Comic-Con? Especially if they were to save announcing spider-man for a Civil-War style reveal. The only reason I can think of is they don't have anything to announce. :/ With the amount of fans that would be upset though, they almost have to go to keep fans happy. There's many marvel fans who go to Comic-Con just for Marvel. Maybe that's their plan... wait and see if they can get Comic-Con to beg and pay them a bunch to go. XD

I'm sure Marvel will be at SDCC for their comic book properties and maybe even for their TV shows. But probably not for any of their feature films.

According to redditor and his announcement date period he is already announced but we missed it. And now we need to wait again for next year for same date. He wasnt wrong he just missed year more or less.

personally think that'd be pretty cool, to have him as a surprise cameo/role

obviously for most of us (the fans) the surprise has already been ruined, that he's in it... but, who it is can still be surprise

I vote B. I would like SDCC but that would mean waiting that much longer. I still want them to do a Civil War style re-revealing of Dylan O'Brien as Spider-Man though.

Civil war has been said it will be a 4 month shoot. And not everyone will be at the shoot the whole time. Again if spidey has a few mins worth of time in the film. Actor likely be there for a few days or a week or two.

Se they could save his shooting for after Comicon just to be safe so they can reveal him for the first time at Comic Con!

Plus it's Civil War so what better than to take advantage of the coincidence and reveal spidey Civil War style?! I do think that fans like us are going crazy, but I would rather have to wait another month for it be revealed in an awesome way than just a random reveal overnight.
