The Dark Knight Where do you rank Christopher Nolan...

Well regardless of him directing BB and TDK he has been one of my favorite directors anyway.

When I saw Memento on first release it blew my mind and it was the first film I instantly watched again.

Hollywood needs more Christopher Nolan.

One of my favorite directors.
The first time I watched prestige I watched it again right after so I can understand the beautiful masterpiece. Then I watched it about 10 times over 3 days. One of my top 5 favorite movies.
Memento is great, I was so confused the first time I watched it 2 more times that day. Probably top 10 or 15
I havent seen insomnia yet.

I kind of want Nolan to take a break off of batman though. The second one isnt even out and fans want him to make a third one. I want a non nolan batman movie after TDK though. Then maybe go back and make a 3rd one.
I hope someone agrees with me on that.

Nolan is simply one of the best directors out there right now

I believe he's doing The Prisoner next, though it's still in talks.

I agree with you completely.

Nolan has done a great job with Batman but I would like to see something new from him.

Hmm, I didn't know that. I just looked it up and sounds pretty cool.

Here it is for everyone else

It was reported that he was going to direct The Prisoner... then later it was The Exec... and a month ago they said he was signed on to direct a US remake of a South Korean film called The Chaser with Leonardo DiCaprio.

To be honest there's really no way of telling which one of the three he's going to do next after The Dark Knight.

Christopher Nolan will direct the US version of 'The Chaser', a South Korean film starring Ha Jung Woo(Never Forever)and Kim Yoon Seok(Tajja)that garnered 5million people.

A participant from 'The Chaser'recently reported that Nolan has signed on to direct the remake, the rights which were sold to Warner Brothers for the sum of one million dollars.

Rumors have it that Leonardo Dicaprio is interested in the lead role and that William Monahan('The Departed')is interested in writing it.

Christopher Nolan gained fame in Hollywood for his acclaimed film 'Memento'and recently finished the blockbuster 'The Dark Knight'.

'The Chaser', which was on hold because of the writer's strike, is expected to start production soon with the signing of Nolan.

'The Chaser'is expected to gain worldwide attention because apart from it's US remake, it was recently invited to the 'Midnight Screening'division of the 61st Cannes International Film Festival.

Anyways, for me Christopher Nolan is my number one favorite and has been ever since I saw Memento. He is the reason why I want to pursue filmmaking.

1. Christopher Nolan
2. Terry Gilliam
3. Steven Spielberg

If he keeps up his current pace he will end up my favorite director of all-time. He is definitely my favorite current director of the last decade. Everything he's done has been great.

Definitely one of my favorite. I was a die-hard Batman fan as a kid, until I watched Batman & Robin, then I kinda lost interest in the character. I was blown away by Memento and really liked Insomnia, but I didn't really believe he could "save" the Batman franchise and didn't have high hopes for Batman Begins. Well... :D

Christopher Nolan is my current favourite director, once i finish film school,my favourite director will be myself. :D

I expect to see you directing Batman 3. Just dont put Batgirl in it :cwink:

He's in my top 5. And he got there so damn fast. The dude can just tell a story. Excellent storyteller.

Christopher Nolan is my favorite director. The first film I saw after I got out of the Army (and South Korea) was Memento. It blew my mind. He makes films the way I would make films.

Nolan is my favorite contemporary filmmaker. My all-time favorite is Sergio Leone.

Right now, he's one of those directors that: I'm there for whatever his next film is.

Soderbergh and Scorsese are like that (though I did miss Scorsese's Rolling Stones movie). The Coens are like that. Paul Thomas Anderson, even though I've only liked two of his movies: I'm there. Maybe Spike Jonze, maybe Sophia Coppola. Werner Herzog is a favorite, though I don't always see his newest stuff in theaters (I missed that one with Tim Roth). David Gordon Green is up there.

Yeah, so Nolan... top three or four.

Nolan is awesome. I saw Momento and that was a great movie. I was waiting for a new Batman movie for years. When I heard about Begins and that Nolan was going to direct it. I was excited. Nolan saved Batman. What else can I say?

He's pretty great. In another 20 years he'll be considered among the Ridley Scotts and the Martin Scorseses. No one can top Stanley Kubrick though.
