I had seen the old show on Cartoon Network and I'm kind of curious about the series/universe. What is a good graphic novel or trade paper back to get into the Titans comics?

I guess Judas Contract, followed by the start of Geoff John's stuff. But stop after that whole Titans Tomorrow business. Everything afterwards is a disappointment.

^true. You could also get some of the old perez stuff it was really good. I just started reading Titans Which is the original crew getting back together to stop some menace. Good so far we'll see where it goes.

I don't know, I think the Titans franchise has been really blessed with good creators and good storytelling. I frankly think that except for the Adam Beechen run, you really can't go wrong.

Get the New Teen Titans collections, the Wolfman/Perez series is fantastic! Plus, that title is what the cartoon was (very) loosely based off of.

Teen Titans 1-4 tpbs. I think u can get 'em off of Amazon in their 4 for 3 deal. That's what I did. And I was pleased with the way it turned out. Haven't read any of the newer stuff. Which the last one I read was the Titans Tomorrow storyline, which was pretty awesome.

Sorry guys, this is off topic from Teen Titans, but I didn't see a Robin thread. Is the Robin title worth picking up, and if so wheres a good point to start.

Read Young Justice. It's everything the Teen Titans should be. :csad:

How can you turn down something that's been Optimus Prime approved? :o

I'd love him to come back to some DC work - give him Teen Titans and he'd rock the world with it.

They cna go keep grimdark in Titans.

If you want back history and old stories that are severely out dated, go with Judas Contract and some of the Wolfman trades. If you wanna keep up with what's going on in the current Teen Titans world, Titan's Tomorrow is a good jumping on point, and just keep going from there. It's not exactly the best arc, but it does explain why a lot of the members leave, have their traits they have now, so on and so forth.

I've been a fan of pretty much the entire OYL run. While some of it is stupid and theres some glaring mischaracterizations, it's still a comic, and a pretty damn entertaining one at that.

Whoa, I'm surprised any comics can live up to your sky-high standards...

I meant that in an "it's still pretty entertaining", as opposed to some of the older 80's comics where they're just so dated and what not.

Those comics dated your mom.

anything would be good to start with though the latest run is lacking the the charm of the classic run By Perez, Geoff Johns run was okay but i hated Superboy so i couldn't enjoy it as much

I liked Superboy. i haven't read much after the fourth trade. but haven't heard anything real great bout Titans after OYL.

That's because it hasn't been anything better than mediocre since OYL.

so i'm actually kind of happy that i haven't been reading since OYL. tho, i did check out the issue with Wonder Dog. it was a very nice read.
