Well, you can't really blame the Hal fans for it. Hal's ****ing writers won't even bring it up in the comics, despite certain promises made after the revelation about Parallax in the first place. :o

Actually I can, because they know it happened and they act like Hal got a clean slate just because writers havent brought it up, but I know, and ill be wathcing.

Don't you mean you'll be... Monitoring?! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!

... man, that scene was lame. :(

Yes, it was. But heres typical elitist fanboy reaction:

"OMG! Teh 5 MONITORS!

One of whom appeared to be an Anti-Monitor fanboy, for some reason. I bet the first time he showed up wearing that, the other Monitors were like, "You dick."

Not really, im really not a Hal fan honestly but this whole "Batman has to be broguth down a peg" **** is annoying. For all the reasons Batman supposedly needs to knocked on his ass so does Hal Jordan, this guy is an arrogant hot-shot who pretty much has been written to do anything and everything he wants,. destroy planets, kill people, violate international airspace and he just laughs it off because OMG! I got a yellow impurity mosnter STD! People seem to forget that the Yellow Impurity monster bonded with him only after he went ****ing nuts in the first place and no one seems to be bringing that up.

Batman was pretty much written the same way. Like when he discovered who killed Sue Dibney. Or how he could recognize chemicals inside of a liquid non normally occuring without much investigation by just looking at it?

See, Hal Jordan is arrogant, womanizing, and a hot shot, but at least he doesn't treat every other team mate like an ass you just can't trust, which is exactly how Batman treated every single one of his teammates. AND he's an arrogant jerk. I'll admit Hal needs it just as much as Bats, but that doesn't mean Bats didn't need it at all.

Plus, the whole yellow impurity thing, which I wish they'd bring it up, will probably be written off something lame like "Well, Kyle was immune because he acknowledged it, and since Hal can, he's immune" or some bullcrap like that.

They already did write the yellow impurity off. If a GL "knows fear," they can overcome the impurity through sheer force of will. It's stupid, but it's better than the alternative of having the yellow weakness back.

Its all stupid, lets get rid of it ll. Lets have Hal crazy again and actually face up to his crimes.

I liked Rebirth as a whole, actually. I just wish they'd gotten rid of the stupid fear demon thing.

I hated it for the fact that it absolved Hal of any wrong doing, seriously even crazy people that murder someone get a freaking hearing.

Went with B. Partially because I like Batman better than GL but mostly because, like Batman, I always thought Parallax was bull*****. Hal is under mindcontrol by an evil demon(or something)? Crap. And I think Batman feels the same way. Sloppy writing on DC's part in a lame attempt to absolve Hal of wrongdoing.

I like Hal okay but I'll never love him like others do because of the lame way he was brought back. I'd respect him more if he just somehow got his GL powers back and said,"listen, i did evil horrible things and i'll spend the rest of my life trying to make up for them. This is ALL MY FAULT. There was no yellow demon monster". But that's not what happened.

I guess you could consider his death and time as the Spectre as his judgment for wrongdoing. But I would've liked to see Hal have to claw his way back up to being a hero too. I wasn't very happy with the fact that Johns basically rebooted him to his Silver Age personality. I didn't really like how cocky Hal was to begin with, but the fact that he can go right back to considering himself the greatest Green Lantern of all time without even a second thought about the fact that he destroyed the entire universe makes him even more of a dick.

Exactly. Even though in Rebirth, it was threatening to overcome Kyle if he used his ring. But I guess it went back to "sleep" or whatever. I hope they won't channel it through Kyle, since he seems to be having a crisis of whatever, self doubt and such.

I think the GL's SHOULD have a weakness of some sort, but this is sort of dumb. Seeing how fear actually reflects some inability to manipulate paint.

B. Batman may be a *****e, but he's a loveable one at that. Now Hal will always be a complete prick, who'll never be a developed character. There's a reason they wrote you off in the 90s buddy. It's cause you suck. The fact that he's coming back to the JLA is complete bull**** too. And am I the only one who hates the fact that the GL symbol is its own construct now?

I got bored of the GL symbol constructs about 2 issues into Hal's new series, myself. Maybe that's why the GLs as a whole seem to suck a lot more now: they're wasting too much energy making their stupid symbols look slick.

No wonder they seem to be having their rears handed to them.

"Guys, we can't just charge in at them. We have to charge in looking fabulous!"

The only problem with B is that Hal probably has a *****.
