It's a tricky decision to think about which character I would want to see the most!

Ms Marvel would be interesting and it's a great way to get Marvel's brand out there. She could be a good icon for the company.

Raspberries, I forgot to include an option for depowered Avengers like Betty Ross, Pepper, Sharon Carter and/or Maria Hill. Oh well

i think ms marvel as well, she would really put stark in his place. her and thor would be the strongest, and most powerful.

It has to be Wasp. She should be there INSTEAD of Black Widow.

Ms. Marvel would have been a good pick.

The Scarlett Witch shouldn't be there without Quicksilver. Neither should be there before the Pyms.

I love Ms Marvel and Wasp but I'm going with Bobbi Morse. Mockingbird and Hawkeye are the Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Marvel...wait a minute...there you go Hollywood & Marvel, it's yours for free this time.

But I think you should build up the Hawkeye/Black Widow dynamic before introducing Bobbi.

Good point...but she should be in his solo movie

My hope is that they are lying or being extra sneaky with their words. I hope that maybe what he means is something like, there is only one official Avenger female, but there are multiple female "Avengers" in the film.
Like maybe Wasp is the actual Avenger and Black Widow is a SHIELD agent, and maybe even include Sharon Carter as a female SHIELD agent too or something.
Or maybe Black Widow is the Avenger, while Wasp and Ant Man are brought on as SHIELD agents or spies who weasel their way in or something. Like how they showed up in the original Avengers because they heard a distress call. Maybe they weren't meant to be there, as avengers, but they show up because of Loki messing with a signal or something.
Or maybe he wont be Ant Man on the Avengers, but he will be Giant Man.
So my hope is that they will include Ant Man/Giant Man and the Wasp.

While I want more female members, I understand for the first movie they're not gonna cram every female in, however, I would also be happy if they used a villainess alongside Loki/Hulk/whoever else there may be as we haven't really had many good comic movie villainesses on-screen done justice except for maybe Mystique in the X-Men films.

Just no sausage-fest please.

It just sort of bugs that Black Widow is going to be in it while Wasp might not be. Wasp is a founder in the comics, but she might be swept to the sidelines (like Hal Jordan in the JL cartoons).

Wasp. I'm a little disappointed that she, along with Ant-Man, aren't going to be in this.

Well, with Whedon rewriting, you never know if he may write in some cameos for them.:cwink:

Yeah I wouldn't count out Wasp just yet.

Who said she wouldn't be in it? All I know of is Longoria saying she isn't Wasp and Whedon saying no other female Avengers, but that BW won't be the only female character.

Sure odds are that if it's only one other female character, it'll either be Pepper, Betty, Jane, or the rumored villainess, but that doesn't discount any cameos that may be added.

i figure whedon would try to put wasp and hand in there. any fan of the avengers knows they are founding members. to cut them out is blasphemy. we might be surprised.

IMO Black Widow, Ms. Marvel and Wasp shold all be in this movie.

You know, we talk alot of who owns the rights to the Scarlett Witch but I wonder if She-Hulk has the same problem? I know she premiered in her own series but she also had quite a career with the Fantastic Four (she also appeared in the 2007 Fantastic Four cartoon but not 'Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes') and I wonder if that would affect the film rights?

Maybe that's why she hasn't been an Avenger in the comics for a while too?

Then again maybe she's just tied in with Hulk, which Marvel owns the rights to.
