I know there is a Lizard thread already in use, but I would like to see the numbers of which Lizard you would want to see;

  • A mindless savage Lizard that acts like a reptile
  • An intelligent Lizard that is as cold as his blood
  • An intelligent Lizard that occasionally goes into a mindless frenzy
  • Other (please explain)
:liz:

I voted "Smart that can go savage" because if he's just smart, he's too much like Doc Ock.

And besides, we're all hoping for a scene when the Lizard goes into a mindless frenzy on Spidey.

I agree. In the beginning of his transformation, Connors should still maintain control over himself and act human, while his skins are turning to green scales. Then, once he feels overwhelmed (angry, upset, etc), he should start transforming into the mindless, vicious, violent, and crazy Lizard. So, in other words, the Lizard will be smart like in STAS, and dangerous like in TSSM.

i would like to see a transition from brains to brawn

I want totally savage. I want Connors to have no control over his transformation.
I want a brainless, inconsequent and ferocious beast, like the Spectacular one.
"I made...a terrible...mistake."
Gold.

I vote Savage or at least with his insticts in almost complete control i would like to see that hes not mindless and that Conners is still in there some where but kinda like the hulk how he not brainless but is ruled by his insticts and emotions

IMO, smart that can go savage. It would be creepy, but also fantastic as well. The reason it would be creepy, but in a good way, is because he would be very smart, but also, he can be VERY powerful and monster like.

I agree. ^

I don't want some jackass Lizard like in Friend or Foe.

I don't want a mindless monster either. I want a smart/savage.

Ideally I'd like to see the movie start out with a ferocious, savage lizard that acts on pure instinct, and then as the movie draws on, we could see him gradually begin to recover components of his intelligence. This would make the final act more intriguing as now Spiderman is not just dealing with a brutish adversary, but someone who is his intellectual match.

Logcially speaking though, I suppose it would make more sense to see Connors lose parts of himself (his intelligence, his basic humanity), the longer he stays in his altered reptilian state. -- the crux being of course that I don't think it would make the final confrontation as dramatic.

I don't want Baker's voice coming from him, might I add.

I want a smart yet savage lizard. Also would you guys be upset if Raimi used the current Lizard storyline where it turns out that Connors knows what he's doing all along and just uses the lizard as a front? I don't think it would work in the movie but what do you think?

I prefer Connors to be a good man, with the Lizard being his dark side.

That's a good question.
I'm used with the Lizard being an evil transformation coming from a good guy. I think I'll stick with that.

I think in 4 it would be good to have Connors as a good man but in later movies maybe have him finally embrace it after he kills Kraven or something.

Smart that can go savage, just because it seems like the typical Lizard to me.

I voted "savage", because "smart" could mean that the lizard would be able to speak.

Smart, can talk..but gets more savage the longer he remains as the Lizard. Much like on TAS.

My feelings exactly. I want a vicious, cold blooded animal, just like a real lizard.

He needs to be incredibly intense, scary, and look very much like a lizard, only much, much larger. I want him to be fast, vicious, and nearly mindless.

I want Dr. Connors to become more and more animal like with each transformation. Start out maintaining his speech and memory, but slowly digressing into a frightening beast.

Personally, I'd rather not see a talking Lizard. I'd rather see The Lizard just be a dumb brute, only able to convey emotions with an extreme.

My sentiments exactly, a talking Lizard is cool for cartoons and the comics and such, but I don't see it working out too well onscreen.

I do feel a savage Lizard is more for me but a smart and savage is an intresting idea....I just hope he doesn't talk.
