Justice League Which major DC charachter is The Rock gonna play?

I really want to hear your opinion on this.

So here are the facts that I´ve found:

From the man himself:

The other quality was that he had to – the character we were looking for had to be well-known but never brought to life. It just gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality, with the set of tools that I could bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality, but still pay homage to who he is. The third thing – and most important – is he had to be a badass mother****er, OK, and on a Superman level of power, where [he] could throw down. Here are some possible charachters:
Black Adam. (Fits everything but bringing in Billy Batson, really?)
John Stewart (debunked as seen above)
Ares (personal fav)
Darkseid (Fits everything)
Mongul (Fits but isn´t well known)

Amazo (feels pretty off to me but he "fits" the description, but so does LOBO! and well..that ain´t never go´n happen)

Tbh I don´t really want it to be Black Adam, altho it seems to be leaning towards that. I just don´t like the idea of bringing in Billy Batson and Black Adam but not MMH. It shatters my heart a little. Any ideas if it could be someone else and who it might be?????

Tbh I don´t think we´re looking at the "main man" here. Why would Lobo come to earth hehe? Shazam is awesome, bud MMH has a better role to fill imo but I´d rather not have any of them for the first movie so =)

What business would the goofy main-man have on Earth in the current movie-verse? Anyways..

1. Ares or Black Adam. Both fit the description.

Complexity:
Both but Adam definitely wins.
Well-known: Ares as a god, as a comic-book charachter? None of them is actually well-known tbh. Because of that I´ll say Ares "wins".
Bad-ass mf: Ohh this is a tie. The Bad-ass version of Ares was more ba than Adam but look at the current New 52 Ares, so there are different versions of him but there is plenty of Ares bad-assery to go around. Black Adam is Black Adam, always bad-ass. Gonna say tie on this one, both fit that statement equally.

Other than that:
Ares is must if you have Wonder woman, also, I can see the Rock in that role. I´m thinking Scorpion king, Hercules etc + it would make sense he´s bigger than Supes, the bad-ass version of him is 1.5-2x Supes (ofc this isn´t something you´d be mad about but just saying BA isn´t twice the size of Supes, Ares has been)

But that twitter thing mentioned Black Adam, most people agree it´s him, some have even said there was a Black Adam movie that never happen but The Rock was considered for playing him. BUT for me that would mean we´d see Billy Batson, a freaking kid, and Captain Marvel which is pretty interesting. We´re gonna have 3 meat mountains on the show, one of which is as goofy as Lobo + it feels like such a facepunch to include Billy and not MMH?

I don't mind seeing Billy Batson. I find Captain Marvel to be an interesting character, I don't get the nervousness about him.

Billy is pretty cool. I like Billy, I like Captain Marvel as well. In fact, I´d really like for that branch of DC to be brought to the big screen even if I think it´s gonna be weird with 3 meat mountains. The problem for me is really the line-up for the JL. They´ve already announced MoS, Batman and Wonder Woman but what about Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and MMH? All those are founding members of the league and therefore important for me to have at some point.

I get if they wanna keep the amount of heroes in a JL movie down to say 4-6 people to start with. But if one of those 4-6 is Cyborg and 3 the trinity then the last oughta be one of the 4 founding member (GL,FL,AQ,MMH) and not Billy Batson.

Sure, if they decide to exclude AQ and MMH completely and only have 5 of the founding members (Trinity + FL,GL for instance) then I´d love to see Billy in perhaps the second movie or something, but I wouldn´t want him coming before any of the founding seven.

We´re already looking at Cyborg who is a modern member of the team and is a founder in New 52. I get why they´re having him, he has a very unique skillset and todays animations of robotic parts is great (Iron Man, Transformers etc) so I get it, but Billy I do not get nor want for the first movie.

Being that he puts an emphasis on "well known", I think that takes Black Adam, Lobo and Orion off the list. Outside of comic book readers no one knows who any of those characters are, I don't care about any of them. Martian Manhunter makes sense, I personally hate the character but it's well known and in some, maybe even most incarnations he was very muscular.

Not sure if he'd want to play a villain like Doomsday or Darkseid, those would be mostly voice-over roles one would think. I think he'd rather be a hero, not be just a voice-over character (though I guess MM would be CGI/Voice-over too) and he's not the greatest at playing the heel/villain role to be honest. I think he's capable of pulling it off but he hasn't done that well in those situations in the past, he hasn't done many on them either. I don't actually remember him playing a bad guy at all outside of some time in the WWE, which wasn't very good.

Going to be interesting to see who he picked.

I don´t think he´ll be a hero at all. Agreed, he isn´t going for a voice-over charachter. He shouldn´t be the main antagonist if you ask me, in fact I also don´t think he should go for a villainous role but he could pull it off and I could see it happen. personally I think Ares would be a good role for him. It looks like the role is pretty big and that´s also a concern if it´s Black Adam, he isn´t one of those charachters who you´d want against the entire league for almost an entire film.

My worry is that he'll play a character that is completely standalone and won't appear in the Justice League. And that would be a misstep, IMO. I know not all of his movies have been hits, but I think the Rock playing a superhero will bring in a lot of people, and would only increase the chances of JL being the biggest superhero movie EVER.

I completely agree. The Rock would have a big impact in growing awareness for a Justice League movie. I hadn't realized until recently how popular he is.

I'd like him to play John Stewart (even though I like Hal much, much more), Black Adam or Shazam (he can pull off a lot of childish mannerisms so well to add some lighthearted moments).

I'd use the YJ Amazo design if he is ever on film
