I mentioned this on a different thread... Have Tony go to SHIELD headquarters for a meeting or something, then have Black Widow make a cameo as a SHIELD agent (maybe handing a brief to Fury)... then also have a guy in the background (in a test lab) testing out the weight of a bow (very brief appearance).

Stark could also be introduced to Pym and Janet (with reference to the Pym Particles experiments and an AI project... prelude to Ultron for down the road). Pym and Janet can be designated as Avengers having been assigned to the team outside of filming...

After Warmachine of course I'd like to see Fury and Shield take a semi prominent role. Have them be his back up for his battle against the Mandarin and his ten rings faction. Definately would like 1 more villain to battle and occupy Warmachine.

I was thinking that a good angle to pull in Warmachine, would be that Mandarin has a small army of armed thugs (with fancy high-tech weapons). So Tony talks with Rodney and tells him that he needs back up to clearout the hired muscle... he puts together a walking tank (enter Warmachine) to handle the throng, while Tony goes after the Mandarin.

Show Stark actually hanging out at the SHIELD headquarters in a scene or two and introduce him to Hank Pym and Wasp (can't think of her alias' name). They are working on the Pym Particle experiments and some AI project. They are Avengers already, having joined the team outside of filming (already SHIELD associates in RD).

Black Widow could a cameo as a SHIELD agent... not an Avenger member... "yet".

Also, give mention to a strange energy surge... somewhere that SHIELD has detected. They are monitoring it and trying to figure out its nature and origin... No more mention for a while.

After all the action for the core storyline of the film plays out (hopefully IM v. Mandarin), then the movie closes with mention of the energy surge again, and IM goes to investigate. While at the site and taking some readings... a strange figure appears on a nearby hilltop, with long golden hair, a cape, and a huge hammer. He says "What is your purpose?" The credits roll...

thats actually not that bad of an idea...which sadly means it would never be used!
The fans know what they want to see!Unfortantely,most of the time,"Hollywood" is rather to busy to sit around and read forums that deal with this kind of stuff(comics and everything else we talk about on here!)

Captain America should NOT be in the IRON MAN movie. He should not appear in modern times in ANY Marvel movie until he is discovered on ice in THE AVENGERS [yes, that means in his solo movie, he should stay in WWII!].

Hawkeye and Black Widow ftw. I also love that idea about the Pyms already being Avengers and Tony meeting them at Shield. That would so work. I'd be happy with nods to them, not even full cameos but a mention would make me happy. Like the Shield references in Hulk.

I believe some of the characters that are rumored to appear in the Avenger movie need more cameos than others. Ant Man and Wasp (if Wasp is still rumored to be there) come to mind. We all know that an Ant Man movie is in talks with Wright at the helm (last I heard) but I'm not too sure how that will do as a stand alone movie. Ant Man isn't a very popular and well liked character in the MU, imo.

Since it appears that Marvel is going with The Ultimates version of the Avengers, they should definitely have Mr. and Mrs. Pym in Iron Man 2. Janet's name was already mentioned in TIH so let's not stop there. They're scientist and they can meet Tony while he's researching something, anything.

Now, since I brought up TIH, we know there was a small Thor reference regarding the storm. We can see Tony having a business meeting (dinner) with a really big blonde guy. These are just some quick thoughts.

The bottom line for me is that Henry and Janet need more screen time from the more popular characters like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Captain America so they can have an impact on the Avengers movie...unless Henry and Janet won't have that big of a part than we thought.
