Which Predator / Alien Was Your Favourite?

And no, I don't mean the actual movie. Which creature did you think best captured the movie as the central villain ( or hero, concerning putting the inferior actors out of our misery )?

Explaining why would be a nice touch.

tbh, I wasn't aware there was a difference in the aliens (aside from when they used non-humans)

The aliens in the second film had a skeletal head compared to the first one. The bison alien was wicked fast and had a longer tail. Don't forget the queens, the grid alien, and the predalien.

I loved the Alien 3 creature but the effects were weak in the long shots.

My favorite Predator was always Anytime from Predator and Celtic predator from AVP (even though he was taken out like a *****.)

H.R. Giger's original Alien. Everything else has been a poor imitation.

The very first Predator, that thing looked freaking alive, has yet to be topped. AvP2 got a good body, but the face still looked horrible.

On the Alien side, the drones from Aliens, with the AvP Aliens as close second.

The Aliens from Aliens 2. They just looked cooler, and seemed more dangerous. And the first Predator (although I liked the 2nd movie more). The original Pred was obviously an experienced warrior, who'd done this before. The second seemed more like kind of a wuss, possibly Pred royalty or something, who was just doing it to keep up appearances.

I loved the weapons and Predator from AVP:R, he had this honor and experience about him. I thought it was awesome the way he took on all those aliens by himself, and his face was well done too. He reminded me of the first Predator from the first Arnold movie, the fact that he was skinny too, added to the effect of realism.

Though I thought the drones from Aliens looked more deadly, I thought the drones from Resurrection were done well, being able to swim and all. They reminded me of the H.R. Giger version, which was cool.

Well they're just toys, not actual models or sculptures, but I was using them to give a rough image.

The Alien Queen in the big reveal sequence in Aliens was just phenominal. Since that was the original design, though somewhat awkward compared to the smoother CGI designs to come later, I have to go with her. I rank that one just above when the Predator removes his mask in Predator I
